In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 4-channel JVM410C 100-Watt, 2x12" combo is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more Gain than any other Marshall to date and that's really saying something!!
Each of its 4-channels Clean, Crunch, OD1 & OD2 are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast three Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one!
The JVM410C has built-in, studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.
Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and 8 LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the 4 channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble & Gain accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the 4 reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls 2 master volumes plus Resonance and Presence.
Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts 7 LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.
From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM410C all-valve combo amp will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.
Marshall JVM Series JVM410C Tube Combo Amp Features:
100-Watt valve, 2x12" combo
Celestion 12" speakers
Valve compliment: 5 x ECC83 (12AX7s) in preamp, 2 x EL34s in power amp
This amp was a recent purchase. I am still working through the setting I want for all 4 channels. However I am thrilled with channels one and two. I was able to duplicate Steve Marriott's sound on Humble Pie's live Fillmore album using the red setting on channel two in a surprisingly short period of time. To get a really good sense of what this amp is capable of, check out the JVM demos video available as a link (theatre) on the Marshall website. You will see a complete walk thru of the amp's features. After viewing this, you should be able to determine if this amp is right for you. While expensive, I feel like it was worth the money. The build quality is excellent. My only minor complaint is Marshall has yet to make a cover for this combo amp. Hopefully it will be forthcoming. Also this amp is heavy, I think its almost 70 lbs, so lift carefully.

I own one of the first twin version of this Marshall, mine is a Valve-state Bi-Chorus 200.
It's 100 watts per side when you plug in extension cab.
These amps are made to be incredible because they are designed for recording and clubing.
The back of the head says it all, check for your self.
Mine is actually 18 years old and plays beautifully! Show me another Marshall that can do this.
These Marshall amps are made in the U.K. not from Mexico or China like other models.
If your looking for the last amp you would ever really need to buy, think of this model...Mine is 18 years old and still plays beautifully.

I own and play all of the top line of custom instruments from Gibson, Fender, Taylor, etc. and have been retroing back to simple analog guitar rigs. Digital Modeling amplification is great for ease of use and thrift but it definitely lacks the character, warmth and response of analog tube circuitry. I own many amps and wanted an all-tube combo with balls, clarity, growl and versatility. Although this amp is somewhat pricy it is the real deal and you get what you pay for: Excellent workmanship, logical and simple control format and unbelieveable tone. The clean channel is worth the purchase price alone, however with three more crunch and screaming overdrive channels this amp can produce just about any tone desireable. Hook up your favorite analog stompboxes and reach electric nirvana. The nuanced response to playing is immediate and exceptional and the balanced tone and color palette are enormous. I just love playing my 57 Les paul custom through this and my only regret is that there are only 24 hours in a day to enjoy this fantastic jewel from Marshall. Make no mistake, this is the real deal, all tube and handmade in England. Once you buy this combo you will have it for life. Buy and Enjoy!

I really wanted to have some different sounds from my amplifiers. I already own a Vox AC30 and Carvin Vintage, so the Marshall 410 was the big step up.
The clean channel is amazing... wonderful tone, sweet, clear and warm. The crunch channel is exactly a Marshall traditional sound, but with more flexibility in drive character. OD1 and OD2 are much more extreme, but have great sounds, too. I can't believe how much sound and tone is available in this amp. A bit expensive, but one definitely gets what one pays for here.

When it is pushed to small club levels it really starts to open up, and the bass will stay tight and focused with high gain. I use channel 2 exclusively to get a perfect plexi tone ... great, great amp, and although heavy it is still very portable.
