In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 4-channel JVM410H 100-Watt tube head is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more gain than any other Marshall to date-and that's really saying something!

Each of its 4 channels-Clean, Crunch, OD1 & OD2 are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast 3 Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one!

The JVM410H has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and 8 LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the 4 channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble & Gain-accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the 4 reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls-2 Master Volumes plus Resonance & Presence.

Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts 7 LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM410H all-valve amp head will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

It's worth it. There are limitless combinations of tone, drive and colour here, great silent mode for recording. there's too much to explore. i love the resonance as well as the presence. You can get some great amp sounds out of this bugger and it won't disappoint you. Tone is key and no matter what kind of guitar you use, single coil or humbucker, you can find dozens of combinations of tones to suit your tastes. Great amp

There's not much to say that hasn't been said about this amp, so I'll say it again. Each mode for each channel sounds absolutely STUNNING and powerful. An amp like this could even make an amateur sound amazing. For the price, this is BY FAR the most versatile head on the market. Whether you're playing blues, jazz, rock, punk, or metal...The JVM410H will astound you.

JVM - Marshall all the way

For the last two years I've been playing through a JVM410H full stack (w/Vintage 30 cabs) and a Bogner Custom Shop XTC 101B full stack (cabs also loaded with Vintage 30 Celestions). They are both excellent amplifiers - similar but not identical tonally, from crystal clean (foot pedal compressor recommended to lessen the harshness of clean dynamics) to riding dirty. I did extensive research on all 100-watt heads prior to buying these - including other Marshall 100-watt heads - and have continued comparisons during the two years since purchase. Mesa, VHT, ENGL and several others have amplifiers of equal quality and tonal richness. Thanks to so much healthy competition among manufacturers, there has never been so many good choices in guitar amplifiers. All of these amps are equally silent in clean mode and equally noisy in high-gain mode, so a noise gate through the amp loop is a big plus. In all practicality, a JVM410H half-stack would serve 90% of my needs. The JVM410H is an unbeatable choice because it sounds GREAT - as good as any of them, is built with as much quality, but is actually more user-friendly, flexible and affordable.

I used to think this Marshall series was over rated but the other day I tested it out anyways. I was blown away! This amp is freaking amazing! I do think it is more expensive then it should be but other then that its one of the best amps out there. The different modes for each channel is great and its sooo loud! Has great tight bass nice punchy mids and sweet top end. If you can afford this buy it!

I've played this a few times, and I wish I had the money to buy this. This has phenomenal tone and is pretty loud as well. Plus, the different tones and channels adds flexibility to any player's tone. Overall, this is a great amp..... it's just REALLY expensive. But if you can afford it, I recommend buying this head and a cabinet.
