Had been playing a Fender Deville but was not getting the sound I needed. Friend had a JCM 2000 sitting around and I tried at our next practice session and left with it. Now the Deville is sitting in the closet as a back up.

I bought this head used for a great price. It was an uber steal! This amp is pro quality. The three chanels are sooo versitile. I run it through an Orange 2x12 Cab, and its screams. This is probably the best head for the money! But buy now because theyre no longer in production!

I have been playing the Mashall TSL 2000 for six years With a Fender Malmsteen Statacaster. More that I could wish for. Own Fender amps Peavey amps but the Marshall rules. A friend of mine played a 50 watt marshall but changed to the TSL after playing one. Have used Svetlana tubes and Ruby tubes successfully. I think the Ruby tubes are a little more creamy with the gain cranked up. Just purchased onother set of Svetlanas to see what I can do with them this time. To those who need to now, a great guitar and a great amp will make great tone. What can be done with it is up to you. Keep rocking.

This amp is awesome great crunch tones via JCM800 right out of the box I use the 1960A Cab but sounds awesome on the vintage cab as well but cranked up with my Gibson Les Paul Standard I Get Sweet Sustaining Leads With My Les Paul Studio Also the clean channel has worked wonders on my recordings I Think it is better than the JVM 410 this head has real accutronics 6 spring reverb tank to get a more natural sounding reverb than the digital plate reverb on the JVM with the same amount of gain as the JVM w/out 20 modes and channels get this head!!!

This was the first Marshall head I ever bought about 3 years ago and I love it! I will admit when I first went out shopping for a stack I was really hoping for a Mode Four (how dumb I know...) When I heard this thing next to a Mode Four it blew me away! It can pretty much play any type of music you want the clean channel is great and the distortion channels are amazing! A great Marshall punch of power. I play it through a 1960A and 1960B and love it! It's good especially if you want to compact the Marshall collection into one amp. If you record and don't want to move 5 amps into the studio. I usually use this live and I'm able to only bring one amp with me instead of bringing three.

Bottom line...GET ONE!!!
