True Marshall tone from this space-saving full stack. |
This full Marshall MHZ15 stack delivers exactly that Marshall tone you seek, and its compact design won't take up your whole playing space. Grab the MHZ15 head and 2 of these MHZ112 slanted cabs and bring Marshall tone and power to the living room.
MHZ15 Amplifier Head
The Marshall Haze MHZ15 tube guitar amp head is brimming with 15W of power, iconic looks, and most of all, exemplary Marshall tone. This compact all-tube amp head features effects, reverb, and classic looks that won't take up your living room's entire floor.
The 15W Haze is covered in a vintage-style vinyl and fitted with protective corners. The hand-stretched baffle fretcloth, with its white piping finish, matches the complementing Haze cabinets, meaning you can combine it with 1 or 2 of them to create one cool-looking mid-sized stack.
Just because the Marshall Haze head is smaller than a standard tube head doesn't mean that it's quiet or lacking in power or tone that you expect from a Marshall amp—its 15W of all tube power guarantees you the full Marshall experience.
The Haze 15W amplifier head is driven by an ECC83 preamp stage and 6V6 power amp, combining to create fantastic tube tone that belies its stature.
The Haze 15 has both normal and overdrive channels with a shared EQ and onboard effects, providing a versatile sound set and delivering an all tube tone in a compact package that performs just like an all tube amplifier should.
Designed in the same style as our traditional Marshall Head amplifiers, the 2 distinctive footswitchable channels of the Haze amplifier offers a variety of tonal possibilities. The normal mode has bags of headroom and provides a rich and organic clean sound.
In the overdrive channel the Haze amp head delivers a warm overdriven tone, and its separate Gain control makes it possible to dial in preamp drive, distorting your tone before it reaches the power stage and delivering a more gritty rock tone.
There is a bright switch which is shared between both the normal and overdrive channels. When engaged the bright switch really lifts the overall sound achieved adding extra bite and sparkle and defining the edge of your tone when you need it.
Both the normal and overdrive channels use a shared 3-band EQ, allowing you to individually adjust the treble, middle, and bass response or the amplifier to suit your taste.
The effects section of the Haze 15 contains custom-voiced effects and reverb that have been specially designed by Marshall to compliment the feel and tone of the amplifier. Each effect selected on the channel will be remembered when you return to the channel, meaning you can set up your clean and overdrive sounds and return to them over and over again without having to readjust your settings. The warm emulated spring reverb has its own independent control, allowing you to add as much or as little reverb as required. For those who want to completely remove the reverb circuitry from the equation, the reverb control is fitted with a positive off switch, so by rotating the control counter-clockwise you can feel the control click indicating that the reverb circuitry is disengaged.
The 3 selectable effects in the Marshall Haze 15 reflect the overall feel of the tone available and have been designed to work with the tone of the amplifier to ensure that every one feels rich and satisfying.
Effects are selected using the front panel effects button and indicated by the colour of the LED. Green indicates that Echo effect is selected, orange shows that Vibe is selected, and Red indicates Chorus. By using the effect level control you can determine just how much of the effect you want in your sound.
The Haze 15 is simple to use, and its familiar layout means that you won't have to spend forever figuring out how to use it. Every Haze 15 is supplied with its own 2-way footswitch, so you don't have to use the front panel to change channels or switch the effects on or off, simply stomp your preferences like a true pro.
Marshall MHZ112 Slanted Speaker Cabinets (2)
The MHZ112 speaker cabinet, in either straight- or slanted-front models, makes for a powerful component in any Marshall stack. This cabinet's 1x12, closed-back design follows the tried-and-true principles Marshall speaker cabs have always followed. The cabinet is given extra strength via finger-jointed construction, and the closed-back design ensures that even from such a small cabinet you can achieve that thick bass response and sharpness of mid tones that a Marshall cab delivers. Its Celestion G12-66 Marquee ensures that there's plenty of room to crank up your amp head and play hard without a fear of damaging the speaker.

I bought this amp when it first became available. Other than a couple of youtube reviews i had no idea what to really expect. I bought the head and the 2 cabs and I can tell you that this thing screams! It definitely sounds better with both cabs and when you turn the volume up you get what is advertised. This thing is meant to be played loud but sounds decent at lower levels. I get where the "muddy" comments come from but when the amp is opened up in volume it really comes to life. The effects I dont care for and could do without. A seperate eq for the OD channel would be nice. This is a gigging amp, I play in a loud-as-hell 3 pc and this amp is plenty--I'm anxious to try the head with a 4x12.

You can't find a better priced tube out there. For the money you pay, you get a great sounding tube with cabinets that sound amazing. My friend and bandmate owns one of these beauties and we gig with it all the time. It sounds great and CAN fill those larger venues with great sound even though it's a mini-sized stack. Simply beautiful.

Great Job from the lads at Marshall - This is exactly what I was looking for - a 15 watt all tube, two channel with switching, and 2 X 12" cabs. What I did not expect that turned out to be even better was the effects features on this beauty. The only thing I would add is a presence control. For the $$$, I don't think you'd find anything else that packs so much good tone in an easy to tote package that looks as good as it sounds. The Speakers in the cabs are great! I even like to put my Budda Superdrive 30 II in front of these cabs - killer sound. This is not a bedroom amp - you can gig quite large venues with this amp - try it and you will fall in love!

This is a very nice mini stack, I hear so many people say its muddy but its not... just turn the bass down... BE AWARE that this is NOT an amp for the bedroom. This thing is LOUD! I haven't had a chance to really see what all it can do just because I can't turn it up that loud! The buttons for channel and bright seem kind of cheap. All and all I love the amp! Would I still buy it after having it in my house for a while? YES I WOULD... and btw it takes pedals very well! I use a TS9 to help drive the tubes and get to my tone!

Good Bang for your buck!

Marshall describes this as an amp designed for the musician who demands an honest clean sound, a driving blues tone with some biting rock, a gig-ready amp. I agree with this 100%. No better way to describe it. Probably not the best for metal, but perfect blues/rock amp. Recently bought the half stack and was pleased, but kind of felt like something was missing, maybe a little too muddy at times, and thought I made a mistake in the purchase. I was going to take it back and give the 40 watt a try. But after a few days of thinking it over, and showing it off to friends I decided to pick up the 2nd cab... So glad I did! It made a huge difference, it was like taking a blanket off the speaker cab, if you go with the MHZ15, the full stack is the only way to go. I have to say the only other dislike or wish for this amp is for Marshall to put the fx loop, add the additional presence to the eq, and standby mode on the 15 watt model. Overall I have been very happy with the way it has preformed, only a few practices and 1 gig under my belt with this thing, but I am hopeful this will become my new small club or local gig work horse.
