I have this pedal for a year now & have that feeling something isnt right. I also experience when delay is turn on totally no delay coming out. Or can hear a clicking sound when turning on/off or tapping an additional tap tempo pedal. Or Volume become louder or wavy. Overall I really want to sell it off ... I gave a rating of 4 because then I realized the polarity isn't right, so I saw an article in the forum just to cut & reverse the adapter cable will do. So I did only the particular cable power adaptor as my other pedals having same polarity except my EH1 and I really am very happy afterwards with the sound quality. Now I can feel the reverb when doing a volume swell....

I got this delay about two years ago. I got it because I really liked the tone compared to many other delays I listen to. It has a sort of smooth reverb to it. To me the Boss had sort of a boring sort of comercial sound. I gave it a five for the features, because I really liked the sound (especially the analog delay), but recently it just totally stopped working. I had problems with it periodically, but usually it would eventually start working again.
So the good side of this pedal is it's sound.
The bad sides are:
1. It stopped working
2. The nobs are almost impossible to see how they're set when you're standing up. Marshall should rethink that part (make the lines on the nobs some bright color or something...).

This is a great little delay pedal for the money. I built my own tap tempo for pocket change - having the tap tempo in a delay is totally necessary, it's just too bad not many include the feature. The sound is fantastic on this thing. Just got it so I haven't completely explored all the features yet. It's not as fully featured as some more expensive models, but there are certainly more expensive models with FEWER features too, so this is a pretty good deal when it comes right down to it.
Just a word to the wise: don't rely on batteries for this thing EVER. If you accidentally leave this thing with something in the input jack for 2-3 hours you'll find a dead battery waiting for you when you return.
Overall I really recommend this for the price:features:sound ratio.
One final note, all the other reviews that mention not being able to see the dial positions are totally correct. I don't know how they did the lighting in the promo shots, but you can't see those things at all unless you really look carefully. I'll be adding a strip of black electrical tape to make it easier to see without damaging the chrome.

Let me start off by saying I haven't tried any other delay pedals, so I cannot compare this one to others.
I will tell you, however, that I certainly would buy this delay again if i lost it! plenty of options to mess around with, easy to figure out, and doesn't add any humming or feedback to my system. I gig 3x per week and its holding up quite nicely! It works well with the wireless system i use also!
plenty of delay time adjustment, in my opinion, i would never need any longer delay than what is given.

I purchased this pedal after I bought my Marshall GV-2. I figured, "If the Guvnor is this cool, then the delay must be equally awesome!", right?
WRONG!!. The first pedal I got from this site, and for the hour that it worked, I must admit, it was sweet. After the initial hour, however, each repeat it gave was not much more than pure static. I tried different cables, a different battery, even a different guitar to no avail.
Wanting to give the pedal a fair shake, I returned it. Got new pedal in just over a week. The second pedal lasted for a whopping 2 hours before it crapped out as well. It gave me the same staticy sound after being used for just 2 hours.
Needless to say I am VERY disappointed in the EH-1. I think I'll go back to my DD-3.
Nuff' Said.
