The Marshall AS50R Acoustic Amp is a 50W dedicated acoustic combo featuring 2 channels, each with its own volume and tone controls. A variety of inputs gives it the flexibility to accommodate any acoustic instrument and a microphone. A pair of phono inputs on channel 2 allows the use of backing tracks. It features built-in chorus assignable to either or both channels, plus reverb and an effects loop that can be balanced between the 2 channels. Anti-feedback controls include a phase switch and notch filter selectable by rotary control. Includes 2 - 8" speakers and a piezo tweeter for clear and detailed reproduction. An internal limiter lets you drive the power stage hard without distortion.

I purchased the AS50R for the Church music ministry, and for my duo. I play a Yamaha APX-SPLII electric acoustic guitar through it and it really does sound fantastic. I use the mic channel as well and it sounds pretty good on it's own, however I must admit I have a small mixer I plug into it and it really brings out the voice a little better due to the fact it has more EQ, as opposed to just Treble and Bass. It would do the job in a pinch though. I'm also using an electric guitar through it. Now I know it isn't designed for that purpose, but I gotta tell ya, the amp has a real sweet tone. If you mess with the phase and notch filter it acts like a contour control which allows you to tweak your favorite Marshall tone. You will have to add a stomp box or something equivalent if you want distortion, she won't give up the overdrive on her own. Great Amp, Great Price.

This amp is the greatest thing that I've ever plugged an accoustic guitar into! The power is perfect and the chorus effect is awesome. The only other amp that I would consider as a replacement is it's bigger brother the Marshall AS100D. Buy this amp, you won't ever regret it.

I have tried lots of amps before reaching AS50R, it just knocked me down. The sound is so pure deep and worm, I just can't stop playing my acoustic. Finaly I found a super natural sound. I highly recommend this amp !!!!!

I had been looing for an amp that reflected the sound of my acoustic guitars. I played several spending hours playing different amps before someone let me play one of these amps. I was floored by the natural sound. I bought one asap after that and have been in love with it since. I would recomend this amp to my best friend with out hesitation.

This little Amp can fill a 500 people Auditorium! Great value and nice sound. Very well made. Not a lot of features but it's just what I needed.
