I'm in a two-man acoustic group and we both own the previous model; the AS50R which is for all intents and purposes the same amp. We played a little Italian Ice Cafe this weekend and used our Marshall's for the first time and we were VERY happy with the sound. We run both our acoustic guitars as well as the vocals through these amps and the performed perfectly with no issues. The sound on both channels were crystal clear. Marshall has out done themselves with this great little amp!

Just got this amp today from MF. Speedy delivery...Seriously, two days. Granted, I live in MO, but still. This amp is perfect for my needs. I'm going to do some small solo gigs with it. The guitar I'm using sounds fantastic through it(Taylor 114ce). The mic channel sounds really good too, and the guitar and mic blend together nicely. The amp preserves the natural sound of my guitar and does not distort the acoustics at all. Even the harmonics sound completely natural. The effects are also really good. I mean, the whole idea behind acoustic is to sound natural and not have all of the effects, but the chorus on this amp, as well as the reverb, still have a very natural tone. I particularly like the chorus on some of the instrumentals that I have written. I still haven't quite figured out the anti feedback function but I haven't really tried beccause I haven't had to. All of the controls on the amp are very simple, straight forward, ready for quick adjustments which will be very handy during a gig where I am the musician and the sound man. Who wants to mess with a complicated amp in that kind of scenario, right? Plenty of volume, perfect tone and clarity. I am very satisfied with this product and the level of customer servive that I got when I called MF.

Great Marshall Amp

I purchased this amp with the intention of doing some coffee shop type shows. After the birth of my first boy...it has mainly served as a nice piece of furniture in my jam room. TMI...probably. This amp is very nice and affordable. I really do love having it. When friends come over, it is nice to play the acoustic with a drum kit. Although my amp hasn't made it to any gigs...I do find other uses for it. I typically play in drop-D tuning...and in doing so I experience a slight vibration/buzz when playing a low G chord. It is for the most part un-noticable. This thing can crank. The frequency adjustment is also a plus for eliminating unwanted feedback. Overall - Great Amp.. Great Price!

I just purchased this after spending three months trying out various makes of amps. This one was the best compromise between sound quality and cost since I don't have big $$$ to spend. First +: this puts out mega sound--which for an amp rated at 50 wRMS, means it must have very efficient speakers. Second +: the sound is very natural. Minus: Only lo/hi EQ. This is a minor point since I have outboard 6-band EQ. Minus: Not a lot of FX. This is also a minor point since I use an outboard FX box. I'm using this with a Breedlove Atlas model and it is a winning combination.

This amp has been a workhorse for me, whether I use it in clubs, recording or just jamming with friends. I owned it for about 7 - 8 years & it has not failed me yet. I've even used it strictly as a monitor live. Great tone, decent effects, although I would suggest using a sepatate EQ for live settings. I also have to use a feedback buster in the guitar as well. For the price, this is an outstanding amp that cranks!
