I have owned my TSL amp about a year and I bought it used with the footswitch. Mine still works fine. However, I agree that the build quality is a bit cheap. Not up to usual Marshall standards. I keep it firmly mounted on a pedalboard and I am very careful with the cable. I would prefer a jack with a detachable cable, my wires have pulled a little loose but it still works. I am very cautious with it and keeping my fingers crossed.

Another broken marshall footswitch

Yup, a fine amp, but can't change the channels. Footswitch is broken. I ordered a replacement toggle switch to solder in, but after replacement the footswitch still did not work. After further troubleshooting, found that the bad toggle switch latched closed and fried a circuit on the board inside - Bottom line.. it didn't work for long, and won't repair for less than what a new one costs... Wish there was another way to change channels on the amp (some kinda hot wiring where the cable receptacle is, etc...)

Don't Bother With This Pedal

Bought a new one of these pedals for my TSL100, and it was dead on arrival. I can't understand why Marshall can't fix these things. The amp that it's intended to work with is great--I love my TSL100. But the pedal is another issue. Again, don't bother.

Like numerous other owners, my foorswitch is broken. This is perhaps the poorest quality piece of equipment ever produced by Marshall. I would certainly expect better of a company with their reputation. It has certainly been tarnished by this piece of garbage,

I have used Marshall amps for over 30 years & they have always been rugged & dependable. I used to have a DSL50 & had to replace the footswitch cord with a heavier one. Then I owned a TSL60 & the footswitch cord crapped out on it as well. I don't know why those blokes at Marshall can't seem to take the hint & offer a heavier duty footswitch cord. God knows they charge enough for their amps.
