I Recently Got one of these cabinets and there isn't a cab in the world that can out do this one. It sounds thundering and powerful but can be soft when you need it to be. Vintage 30's are simply fantastic but they dont sound the same is a different cabinet. The Marshall Straight cab has enough air room inside of it that it can produce the best sound money can buy. Slant Cab is also good but not as deep sounding as the Straight cab.

I own this cab (1960BV) and I also own the 1960a cab from Marshall. The 1960bv has a much clearer tone and it sounds cleaner than the 1960a cab. The 1960a cab is a good cab, don't get me wrong, but the 1960bv is more versatile due to the celestion vintage 30's. good buy overall.

Your search ends here. The first time I heard the warm Vintage 30 speaker sound, I was sold. The Vintage speakers break up faster and sound warmer than the other cabs. When you see the "V" in the model number (Ex. 1960BV versus 1960B...the B stands for BASE, the A stands for ANGLED and the V stands for VINTAGE speakers) and the placard says "Vintage" you know you have the right cabinet. I use it with a Marshall AVT-150H head and it sounds incredible.
