Black, Control Panel Black, Back Panel 85th Anniversary Family

Since his birth in 1923, Jim Marshall has changed the world of guitar music forever by listening to the needs of guitarists, incorporating them into amplifier designs, and developing some of the most cutting-edge and familiar tones ever recorded.

The 1923 85th anniversary amp head commemorates Dr. Marshall's 85th birthday celebration. Based on the legendary JCM 2000 Dual Super Lead platform, the 1923 head features 50 watts of EL34 power and that distinctive Marshall tone. The front panel is finished with a custom color print design incorporating both the 85th Celebration logo and Union Jack flag. Every guitar amp head is constructed using high-grade Baltic birch plywood for superior sonic performance and durability.

This is not a JCM 2000. Okay, I play a H&K Triamp 2X15 & 2&15 and a Fender DeVille 4X10. I love my tone... But wow! This thing has some punch. I played it with the 1960's leads as it is pictured with, and I want one bad! This thing has the kind of tone that you feel with. ultra clear, nasty thick mud to crystal light. It has a "fat" button that drilled in the low's but if you want leads it is there. I think this thing has more versitility than my triamp which is totally loaded. I will own one of these things sometime, either down the road or immediate future. I highly suggest you play one. Probably not for metal heads. But Classic/ Vintage Tone people, this puppy is an absolute treat!
