I have owned many line 6 products over the years and over the years I have slowly gotten rid of all of them. Why? They just dont have a good tone. The modeling simply sucks when compared to a good tube amp. I will admit they have a good thing when it comes to recording guitar (ux1 & 2)etc. But when it come to live performance I find the distortions to harsh and digital.

OK I bought this petal to experiment with Norse Death-metal Tabs. It blew me away when I had the distortions I needed almost right away. After experimenting with it to some extent I love the tones I get out of it when I play most grunge songs also. The only major problem I have had out of this petal is the battery life. Invest in a adapter, this is so powerful that it drains the battery life. Also investing in a set of Blue Steel Dean Markley strings eliminated alot of feed back.

I got this thing for christmas and I love it. If you like a lot of metal it's perfect for it and if you are looking for a Coheed and Cambria sound, this perfect. Do not listen to those bad reviews, there amps are broken or somthin' but i hope to get another soon since mine broke.

Simply awful

Alright, so I bought this pedal when my metal group decided that we needed more distortion in our guitars. Well, everyone was saying to get this pedal, so I sold my DS-1 and raised some cash and I bought it.

It was the biggest let down I've ever seen. The distortion really mangles the tone on my guitar. I use a Epiphone G-400 SG with a Randall RX120RH amplifier head. My cabinet is the one that came with it. The tone sounded simply terrible and just destroyed any tone I had going on.
