Exploding out of the amp's 12" Celestion speaker and 2" tweeter in vivid, uncompressed audio, these tunes were recorded at legendary studios around the word ensuring the best possible sound quality. Ideal for songwriting and recording, Spider Jam captures jams, solos, and song ideas, storing up to 100 CD-quality recorded jams, with over 24 minutes of recording time, internally.

Capable of supporting more than one instrument, or an instrument and a microphone, Spider Jam features an XLR mic input with a dedicated volume knob perfect for vocals, and a 1/4-inch Aux input perfect for a second instrument like keyboard or bass. Clean
Red LED: Crisp, shimmering clean tones and warm jazz tones. Green LED: Glassy clean tones like those from the late 60s/early 70s. Inspired by a '73 Hiwatt Custom 100.

Twang
Red LED: Classic, glassy high-end with some snap and bite. Inspired by a Fender blackface '65 Twin Reverb and a blackface '64 Deluxe Reverb. Green LED: Swingin' rockabilly tone a la vintage tweed. Inspired by a '53 Fender tweed Deluxe Reverb, a '58 Fender tweed Bassman, and a '60 Gibson Explorer.

Blues
Red LED: From gritty, swampy clean tones to syrupy smooth drive tones this was inspired by a mix of a '65 Marshall JTM-45, a '58 Fender Bassman, a '63 Fender Vibroverb, and a Supro. Green LED: Early British rock tone made famous by the Beatles and the Stones. Inspired by a fawn Vox AC-30 with an updated and expanded tone control circuit.

Crunch
Red LED: Classic crunchy tone popularized by many early metal bands. Inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 50-watt. Green LED: The infamous brown sound inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 100-watt with a few added extras - jumped input channels and a Variac transformer.

Metal
Red LED: Tight and punchy high-gain sound inspired by a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. Green LED: Use this for aggressive high-gain sound. The mid knob sweeps the tone spectrum. Set to minimum for fuzz-pedal characteristics, set to noon for creamy, modern high-gain, or crank it for Class A carnage.

Insane
Red LED: Famed and feared bone-crushing, brain-piercing grind inspired by the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel. Green LED: Short of a complete meltdown, this provides as much input-gain distortion as possible while retaining tonal definition and character.

Effects:

Spend more time playing and less time tweaking with Smart Control FX. Find the effect you want, turn the knob to the desired intensity, and you're done. Spider Jam offers seven effects, including dedicated Reverb, to choose from, and you can use up to three at a time. They include:

If you need a practice amp this is the one for you. I use it for just about everything. We all know it has hundreds of preset tones, drums, songs etc... This is just the tip of the iceburg.

You must know that you need a pedal with this amp to be effective. I use the Line 6 FBV express. The best thing to use it for is practice. I take songs that our band plays and will record a rythm track, and then can play my leads over it. Works great. Also if your working on a new song or arrangement, you can have your buddy play and sing into the amp, record it, take it home and practice to it. Next time you play together you will have the arrangement and song down, and probably be ahead of your buddies in knowing the material.

The usefulness is endless. Buy this AMP!!!!

The amp over all is very good. Having so many dials, you can really make many different sounds. I cant quite get the heavy fuzz sound i really like, but i havent experimented with it nearly enough. there are so many different things you can do. the built in tacks are recorded so you cant slow down or speed up the tempo and the recorded songs to jam too arent the gratest but its still fun if no one wants to jam and you gotta wing it yourself. although a lot of the drum tacks are pretty decent. pretty loud.

I know the naysayers will tell you that you can't get all those features in an amp, WRONG!!! I've heard the critics and unless you can afford to carry a Marshall Plexi, Fender Twin, and a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier this is the next best thing. Truly a goundbreaker!

Trust me, the sounds are as good as they say. Something for EVERY style of music,not just rock. Line 6 is the BEST at ampmodeling. My Les Paul and Strat both sound equally great with the settings,and I'm sure most guitars will. You can dial in the cleanest of tonesto the thickest of distortions, add in some effects and it will only stimulate the creativity in you. Play along with just the drums for a freeform jam and let the ideas flow or with the preset gong patterns to hone your chops. The cool thing is that when you use the song presets they perfectly match your guitar tone to that style of music. Recording, overdubbing, and undoing unwanted tracks is a snap. I found you'll have to do very little tweaking with this amp, but if you have to it's just a matter of turning a knob. Haven't used the XLR inputs or outputs,you can run this through a recording setup if you choose to. They also set the presets to decades,songs, and artist. You'll be sureto find something to your liking! I'vehad this three weeks and see an improvementalready. No matter what level you're at you'll find this the BEST tool for your technique! The loops are A+! You could almost play this by yourself at a club and jam and sound like a pro! I disagree with the people who say this is merely a practice amp. This thing cranks for a small club and for most bigger venues you'd mic your amp anyhow. If I was still playing out I would forgo all the pedalboards and processing and just use the Spider Jam!

The only criticism I have is that I wish the display were a little bigger, but not a major concern. Whether you're looking to improve your playing or just want a versativle amp that's reasonably priced, this amp is for you! to.

this amp is a god send to me! I played in live bands for 25+ years and finally had to retire. I kept playing my guitar but sure missed having a band to jam with. This little beauty was the answer! simple to use, built in backing tracks are great and with the SD card I can add toms of backing tracks that are free off the Internet. Best thing to come along in a long time.

This amp is perfect for stepping up from a starting amp. 75 Watts is more than enough to jam wiht friends or play for people. (I played a show for my school in a large auditorium, only had to put he volume barely past half.) As for tone, i am very satisfied. It has some of the best distortion you could ever dream for, and all the tone knobs are responsive. The effects are fun, but you only really end up using Reverb, Echo, and sometimes Flanger. It's clean is great too, but its not what this company is known for. If you want a fantastic clean amp, get a Fender or something. This amp has held up fine, but I am careful with it. It is heavy, but I can still carry it down the block to my friends house or load it up inot a car by myself. The drum tracks are great, EXTREMELY useful in building you impov, if you dont have any drummer friends or anyone you can jam with. The recording element is interesting, but I found myself not using it after the first 4 months. Usefull if you wanna make a rythem, and then play lead over it. Takes awhile to get used to the controls. Overall, great amp, a little pricey, but still good.
