The Line 6 Spider III 30 delivers 4 amp models—clean, crunch, metal, and insane—that cover a broad range of essential rock sounds. These basic sounds can then be modified with a selection of effects. Now you can rule the stage with the Insane model with its truly massive gain or explore your sensitive side in the studio with the Clean model. The Spider III will give you the dialed-in tone you want in an instant. Less tweaking. More playing.

Amp Models:
Clean: Red LED - Select this amp model and adjust the tone controls to get crisp, amazing clean tones, great warm jazz tones, and all the high-end shimmer you'll need with a generous amount of bottom end.

Crunch: Red LED - This sound was crafted during Line 6's studies* of the '68 Marshall® Plexi 50 Watt. This type of Marshall amp was used by a number of early metal bands. Crunch provides a wider range of tone control settings than the original Marshall amp had.

Metal: Red LED - This Amp Model is based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound.

Insane: Red LED - This model is Line 6's "dialed in for shredding" version based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel. It combines the intensity and impact of Metal Red, but delivers more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.

Effects:
A great amp isn't the only part of a great guitar sound. With Smart Control FX, an exclusive Line 6 feature that automatically dials in different effect parameters, you spend more time playing and less time tweaking. Simply find the effect that you want, turn the knob to your desired intensity, and you're done. You can even use multiple effects at the same if you wanna get really crazy.

i was a little nervous at buying this, because i'm not a death metal guitarist, by any means. I'm more of a Secondhand Serenade guitarist, but I had heard great things about Line 6. I bought it from a friend of mine used, and i just gotta say : WOW! this thing has excellent presets(even though there are only 4), and the amp itself is insanely powerful! Don't let the 30 watts sign trick you, this thing packs a punch! I use a Digitech GNX3 guitar workstation for multi effects, and so I plug it into the Line 6 while it's on Clean, and it makes it sound even better than my old Peavey 25watt made it sound! even playing clean acoustic thru it, it's so crisp and awesome! Don't let the size fool you either, this thing's a beast!

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this amp but thought I'd do myself a favor as it costs the same as the average college textbook. I've owned a lot of amps over the years, combos and stacks: countless crates, marshall avt, peavey 5150, madison, krank. READ: for the price, this thing is awesome!!! There is a reason line 6 is the best selling amp in America. It's because you can just plug in and play and it makes playing soo fun. Then if you want, mess with all the countless settings. To me this is a modern practice amp digital masterpiece. As for the negative reviews, well obviously this amp is geared more towards metal/rock/hardcore/punk players. If you're some sort of jazz aficiando or in search of some obscure tone freak or flat out broke then I guess you should look elsewhere. However getting a 'distortion pedal' is not a valid excuse if you at all understand the science behind the electric guitar. Anyway, clearly I love this thing. I shouldn't forget to mention how sleek the exterior looks, it'll shine in any location.

This amps fine for messing around and the built in effects are nice but the clean sound is HORRIBLE. Just buy yourself a good cheap amp do some research on distortion pedals find one you like that way the sound can be more personal instead of the built in distortion which is either okay *crunch or way over the top *insane. Theres much better out there

I love this amp. It's style and quality is outstanding along with the low price. With a good guitar (I use an Gibson SG, Strat, and an ESP LTD AX-50. they all sound great!) and a Monster cable you can't go wrong with this amp. I also love the way you can customize your own sound. Great for people writing their own songs.

this amp is amazing! i wanted a nice, powerful amp for a really low price so i ordered this one. when it arrived it was much bigger than i expected and it was the most awesome thing i ever heard. i love the insane feature and the chorus flange. every time i hear it or even look at it i am amazed.
