I've had this unit about a month. At first I didn't like it. But now I don't know if I'll use anything else. It took a little bit to learn my way around it but now it's very simple. The stereo output is awesome I got rid of my old pedalboard that I have used forever. I had to get the optional footpedal for live gigging but it was worth it. I can program 32 user presets and title each song accordingly with a A,B,C,D, section and recall them easily now with the footswitch. This is plenty for my application as I have about 24 songs for a live gig. I do a solo act with a looper so now everything is perfectly in-sync . It's frekin awesome for acoustic or metal . I play anything from Michael Hedges or Kottke style to Slipknot , Tool , Slayer ....and this baby does it all , there is no hum at all if it's set up right. I use it as a pre-amp to two Mesa Boogie Mark 2C+ with two 4x12 Mesa slant cabs in Stereo . Most of my music is psycedelic by nature and I just love the ping pong delay settings. The footpedal has volume and wah-wah . Everything I need in a 3-space rack... thanks line 6 ...

you have to buy the foot control or it's useless for live performance. quality built cheap. All of these processors, I don't care which brand, are mass produced and are not complete packages. I have use almost all the stuff out there in terms of rack guitar gear and this is a nice piece overall but does not have all I would like.Big plus is the line out reproduce my custom presets accurately. I always run stereo even live and it is hard to reproduce the same sound out of cabs into daw.this does it well.For touring I would take like 3 or four because of cheap construction. being able to save custom presets to pc is nice.all factory presets have a wierd low end boom that needs to be eq'ed out. some tones are plasticy

Whoever said the POD XT was better that this is dead wrong. I had the old XT now get ready for somw awesome recording power.. X3..... PRO... If you are thinking about it then get it. You will not be dissapointed......

This is by far the most complete array of tones amps cabs etc ever made! If you want to learn about tone without spending myriads, then this is your absolute best pick. Sum say L6 has not changed their emulation in over 10 years, but theirs is WAY better than any other consumer brands anyways.

You can buy this prior to investing on expensive rig, and it will give you a decent 'preview' in most cases.

The PC connectivity doesn't seem to be a strong suit, and the tweaking sys is a bit tedious -- the 'Select Knob' sees way 2much action! hopefully it'll last long.

I give it 4.5 because nothing will replace real Class A or tubes (yet), but having said that, this comes pretty damn close! (more so in some cases than others of course)

Let me say, this is one fantastic piece of equipment. These tones are identical to the real deal. The dual tone controls are exquisite. I played this thing right out of the box with a buddy of mine, and we sat there for 2 jaw-dropping HOURS going thru the tones on this beast. And all of the extra's that come with this toy are nothing short of exellent. And this product was pretty easy to learn. I maybe spent an hour to learn to use this thing. And i must say again, this thing is dead on. Worth every penny!
