After 40 years as an active musician and several years as a home recording engineer, I will say this has some very good amp sounds but only if you use the Line6 edit software. There are several settings you can not even get to without it, like the AIR,Presense,changing reverbs. It would be almost impossible to use it live as you have no idea what the settings are, except in Manual mode. I give it a low rating as I also own the Vamp2 and for 1/2 the price it's sound is almost identical plus it has lights in the dials for everything. If this unit ever burns out it will definately NOT be replaced!!!

I've used the POD for about 3-4 years now, and haven't switched to anything else. You get multiple amps and classic effects all rolled into one little kidney shaped box. I've done away with all of my stomp boxes and multi effects pedals, because none of them stand up to this. All I use live is the POD and a wah pedal going straight into my half stack, and I just bought the Floor Board, so now I don't even need my wah pedal anymore! Great Buy.

I absolutely hated any kind of multi-effects pedal or anything digital until I heard the POD. Then I heard the sound that this little box can generate, and I plan on buying one as soon as I get the money together. I have a friend who is a professional musician and has a $5,000+ rig that does nothing but collect dust since he bought the POD, he says that this gives him as good a sound as anything he's ever played before. I've played through his, and I was amazed at the tone and power that this thing has.

I will never again use many footswitches or any crappy multi-effects pedals, this is amazing and if mine were stolen I'd buy another-like that! I gave it a 9 in features just because without the foot pedal it's a little hard to use because you can't really switch effects while playing. Once I got the foot switch it really helped me out. Same quality and versatility as regular stomp boxes, you're saving so much money!! And it's easy to make your own effects. Like I said before, I'm never going back to stomp boxes.

I've had my 2.0 and Floorboard for five years as of this August. Having played and collected guitars for 32 years, I can tell you that I've never been happier with the sounds I get out of my guitars, or the features contained on a single device than with the 2.0. It's perfect for recording direct into a board, monitoring via phones. For gigging and/or miking a guitar cabinet, it doesn't matter what guitar amp you plug the 2.0 into the front end of, big or small, it sounds great; amp "purists" notwithstanding. Nor does it matter whether you use a Strat, Tele, Les Paul, SG, 335, etc.. The real beauty of the 2.0 is that you can custom tailor whole banks of channels for each type of guitar mentioned above (i.e. clean, semi-ballsy, more ballsy & OMIGOD). And I own at least one of each of the guitars mentioned herein! Yes, the XT has more bells, whistles and knobs, which makes IT worth buying as well. In spite of that, after five years of solid use, I'm not the least bit disappointed by the 2.0. Love this toy!
