I have been using the Guitarport for quite some time. Exactly how long is hard to tell, and I am not inclined to reasearch the timeline... The modeling and ease of use are just phenomenal. The specific tones that I get out of it for my use are just right. The drivers are stable, the setup is easy, the sound is great, the versatility cannot be beat as far as I know. The only limitation is the shallow field of material on the line 6 website. The online tutorials and tones are fantastic, but limited to popular material. It is still worth keeping your subscription up to date for online goodies. If you check out various newsgroups where players complain about getting guitar sound into their computers you will get an idea of how important the GuitarPort is. These guys just need the GuitarPort! So do you.

At first, I thought this would be a great deal...when I got it, it took me about 4 trys to install it on my computer. When I finally got it installed, parts of the softwaare would not work, and I could not re-install the software. The hardware kept coming unistalled, and it even deleted my cd drive. I disregarded the bad reveiws in hopes of getting a good piece of equiptment, but take it from me...save your money.

This little red miracle is a blast to use. I am a new player and I like practicing using my computer speakers and the headphones. I signed up for guitarport online and can't believe all of the cool tones I now have! Why spend more than a hundred to have yourself sound like you spent a thousand! Well Done Line 6!!

The reason is, no where else could I mention the fact with Customer Service. This peice of genius is the greatest thing to anyone who can record on their computer. The tone is better than some amps you can purchase. It will baffle you. But something more that will baffle you, is the fact that Line 6 doesn't care about the customer. Once sold, they don't care. You may get lucky, so good luck if something goes wrong with it. Purchase through a large company, atleast you cover yourself with their warrenty at the store.
