I bought the Line 6 Floor Pod multi effects pedal about 9 months ago. The tone was weak, and i felt that the pedal had days where it sounded better than other days. I play a Jackson rr1, through a Fender Princeton 112. I felt that i couldn't get enough distortion, and i couldn't get the tone to sound as if it wasn't artificial. Another problem i had with the floor pod was the wah pedal, whenever i clicked it on, it amped up the volume WAAYYY to much, and it was to loud to use. The volume pedal was weak, and it didn't fully turn the volume off.
Then, it totally died on me one day, and i couldn't fix it.
I recommend getting a line 6 amp, instead of a pedal, they sound a lot better.

Great Pedal

This thing is great. Some are saying only a few of the banks are customizable. But you can actually change every sound on the POD. All you have to do is change it to how you like it then tap save once so it starts blinking, then tap save again and you're golden. I ran this through a Roland CUBE 60X at our last show, but I'm not even going to bring the amp next time. If you take your time and get the sounds right, it's great. The ONLY complaint I have is that I can't easily engage the tuner with my foot unless my shoes are off (which is USUALLY, but not always the case at our shows). I wish you could just hold in the first and second pedals simultaneously to engage the tuner, but you have to hold in the small 'tap' button. Someone also said you can only tap on Insane. That's not right either. You can tap on everything as long as your dialed into an effect that changes with tap (delay, flange, chorus, sweeper, phaser). Go for this. You'll like it.

Convenient & Portable with Decent Features

I have rehearsal and worship service once a week. I used to transport four or five different effect pedals back and forth. The Line 6 Floor Pod has replaced the individual pedals. Sure you may not be able to dial in specialized or more specific settings, but the ones the Floor Pod comes with are more than sufficient enough to get you through a set. You will find plenty of sounds, tones, and amp models, that you can tweak to your liking and "save" to recall later, and if you don’t like the setting the pedal has a reset feature to get you back to the factory settings. I rely more on the convenience of the pedal and its Line 6 quality tones. If you plan on using the Floor Pod to define your signature sound, you may want to look somewhere else. Bottom line; portable, sufficient effects, and dependable Line 6 quality.

the Floor POD is a great effects processor. its my first one but beforehand i just messed around with individual pedals. yes the manual is a little confusing at first but you will get the hang of it, the 64 presets are good, but are kinda overkill for me but oh well its great. don't expect to find the tone you want right away after plugging it in you might also have to mess around with your amp like i did but now it sounds great. it is very durable and can take a beating. the only problem i have had so far is the volume/wah pedal. its difficult to change from volume to wah especially when sitting down, you have to really smash down on the toe to switch which is annoying, so thats why i gave the features a 4.5

A LITTLE OVERPRICED, BUT A SOLID FIRST PEDAL

Well its a good little pedal, but it is a little overpriced, the treble/mid/bass switches do little to change, the amp models really have the only effect...they're are 60 presets and 4 custom tones (customize how you like but at least one preset mode sounds exactly the same as your custom mode) a great starters pedal, but I wasnt a starter when I bought it, the crunch and clean tones are strong, but you can only tap with insane, which lacks a little melody, treadplate and insane sound pretty much the same...but the hi gain is unique, other than that, if you've been playing for 1 year and have a crappy amp, this is the pedal for you, I've been playing for 3 years and I should have purchases an XT or plus, hope this is helpful...
