I really don,t understand the tons of negative reviews this pedal gets. Yes, it is plastic, and I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. But I've had two of these pedal on my board for more than 8 years, and these never failed me. They're definitely not designed to have you put all your weight on them or anything, but that could be said about a lot of pedals.
I guess for what it is, it works. It's hard to fault a product for doing exactly what it's designed to do.

Line 6 should know better

I use this ex1 expression pedal with a line 6 mm4. The design on this is terrible. Unfortunately, I haven't found another expression pedal that is compatible with the Line 6 modelers. I had one of these that the plastic around the pot broke. I bought another one and have tried being much more gentle with it. The shaft on the new one constantly slips out of the hook base and I need to take it apart and put it back in the groove. There is nothing to this pedal, it costs a fortune, and it keeps on having problems. I truly would not use this if there was an alternative.

This pedal is a piece of crap. I got it free with my DL4 Delay (a great pedal by the way) and thought I'd just fool around with it. Little did I know the cable that came with it would break and get stuck in my pedal board. Besides the cord the pedal itself is a joke. It's stiff and very poor quality. I love Line 6 gear but this one really missed the mark. My recomendation is do not buy or use this pedal under any circumstances. I wouldn't pay $5 for this pedal much less the outrageous price they're asking for it. Save your money or buy a pedal that's actually usable.

I just got mine, and let me just say that there are certain things you pick up and you KNOW they are going to break based on the build quality.
The plastic is of the poorest caliber. It's a joke how thin the plastic on the included cable is. I'd equate it to the soft flexible plastic of a cereal box toy. No joke. When I took it out of the box, it slid right off the plug. The pedal does not have tight fluid movement. It scrapes as it sweeps and it reminds me of the s***ty expression pedal on my old AX1G.
For what Line 6 charges for this pedal it should've been better. For what Line 6 charges for the Pod X3 I just bought, they should've included a second pedal on the board that matches the one already there.

High hopes weren't enough

So I ordered one of these to go along with my DL4 no more than like...a month or so ago. I really didn't get a chance to use it all that much, I fooled around with it and at least got to enjoy it (because it is a lot more fun to play with the pedal when you don't have to be bending down to twist knobs). But then BOOM it just stops working out of no where. It's not terrible though, I called up Line 6 and basically just gave my name and address and they're sending a new one. Although, with how easy it was to get a new one sent for free, I'm not very optimistic on the longevity of this next one. Maybe I'll just call from my other house and get a few more sent for back-up...hmm
