The twin channel, all-tube Laney Lionheart L20H amplifier head features parallel single-ended Class A output from 4 matched EL84 tubes, providing 20 watts of rich tube power. The L20H amp head also features gold plated PCB's and jack sockets. Sealed gold contact relays are used in all signal paths for minimum sound coloration, and the amp comes fitted with the renowned "Type 4" large spring line reverb for the classic guitar reverb sound. Each L20H features a hand stamped 'build number' in the order they come off the Laney production line, and comes with a custom-made 'Lionheart' dust cover.

Excellent value, really. Super warm cleans, obviously not as wide as 6l6 cleans, but warm and articulate to a point of detail that grabs your attention while playing. Versatile overdrive channel, again warm and articulate, with a touch of sponginess. Overall versatile thanks to a clever eq section. Might have to change settings sometimes while playing, but mainly because it makes many good sounds and it's a pity to stick to one setting! I use it for rock-abilly blues with a little analog delay in the front and a an od808 pedal instead of using the dirty channel. The advantage of the wattage on this amp is to push your clean channel to get a full sound wich you can clean with the volume pot and give it many different levels of overdrive using pedal and volume together. In any case the dirty channel is equally versatile and tweakable to taste. I find it light to carry around compared to other amps so it's an added bouns for me.

Laney have been around for more than 40 years and are one of the most underrated amp manufacturers. Their amps are absolutely bulletproof in build quality. I have been using Laney amps for more than 25 years and I still have the first one I ever owned that is a 1983 AOR model. The L20H is destined to be a classic. It produces a wonderful, vintage tone with just the right amount of gain on tap. It can do everything from crystal cleans to a Tom Petty sound to a fantastic, full-on AC/DC hard rock sound. And that's without any kind of pedals hooked up. Want a metal sound? Slap a Boss Metal Zone or something like that in your signal chain and see how responsive a Class A amp is! This amp is hand made in England and you can really feel the pride that goes into it. Be sure to get the matching LT-212. It's totally worth it and the tilt-back mechanism is really great.

i've only had this amp for 2 days, but i am very impressed. i am playing through a randall 2x12" extension cabinet. very warm and rich. the drive is great, there's no need for a distortion pedal. the classic reverb is a great feature.

This is hands down the best sounding amp I have ever owned. Tons of killer tone. With this baby you really don't need any effects. In fact I found that when I used either a chorus, phaser or overdrive it diminished the sound of this amp. I plugged my PRS SE Custom straight in to it and that's all I need. I am not overhyping this or saying too much. It really is a great amp.
