LAGUNA GUITARS LAUNCHES "ONE GUITAR, ONE TREE" REFORESTATION INITIATIVE
Laguna Guitars, reflecting the passionate convictions of musicians, celebrates Earth Day by launching their new "One Guitar, One Tree" reforestation initiative. This plan involves planting one tree for every Laguna guitar made. In addition, Laguna continues to deepen its other practical efforts to reduce waste, recycle and conserve the planet's resources.
For decades, musicians have proudly been socially aware and urged others to take more action, advocacy and awareness in environmental matters. As musicians themselves, those at Laguna have always passionately supported that position, knowing that trees are an economical, long-term solution to many tough environmental problems, including air and water pollution, climate change, wildlife protection, habitat restoration and more. In partnership with AmericanForests.org and their Global ReLeaf campaign, Laguna proudly plants a tree for each Laguna guitar made.
In addition, Laguna's shipping cartons are designed to provide maximum protection with a minimum of material. Their boxes are made from 100% recycled cardboard that is also 100% recyclable, which they naturally encourage wherever possible. Also, in the interests of conservation, they have decided not to print glossy, heavyweight catalogs as millions from various companies end up in landfills every year. Instead, Laguna provides extensive information online at their website (www.playlaguna.com) and a catalog will soon be available as downloadable PDFs, allowing users to print only those pages they want.
As with the design and manufacture of their guitars, Laguna welcomes an open dialogue with musicians and encourages them to share their thoughts and ideas on environmental matters including Laguna's "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and other earth-friendly plans. All such feedback can be directed to environment@playlaguna.com. Please visit PlayLaguna.com or AmericanForests.org for more information on the "One Guitar, One Tree" initiative and Global ReLeaf campaign.

Laguna LG Series LG4CEBUB- the wood makes it good

I have owned the LG4CEBUB since March. This guitar sounds as good as it looks. This has quickly become my primary guitar. The sound is nice and warm unplugged. It sounds incredible plugged in. Mine rarely goes out of tune. I once went a week with out playing because I was ill. The next time I picked it up it was still in tune. I have used it to practice in my room, playing gigs, and in the studio. No complaints once so ever. This guitar is as good as any $1000+ guitar I have owned. The price of this axe is a steal.

Great Guitar For The Money!

The Bubinga wood is absolutely stunning to look at. Everyone who has seen it, loves it immediately. The neck came almost perfectly flat right out of the box! Only had to tune it to get started playing. As for Voicing, It is quite beautiful sounding unplugged. I tend to strum fairly hard which makes most spruce tops sound tinny. But the Bubinga falls somewhere in the middle between Spruce and Cedar. It took some getting the hang of finger picking as the high notes don't stand out as well; a minor adjustment to my style of picking took care of it. I have yet to find the sweet spot when plugged in. But I'm not about to give up! She's a beaut! Not quite as heavy feeling as the higher priced guitars, but I'm sure it will be fine if taken care of well. 4.5!!! Laguna is a good product!!!

Best Guitar Value

I purchased this guitar 6 months ago. The sound is great especially when you really get into strumming. I play it about 10 - 12 hours a week. The guitar sits out on a stand all the time. I have a small house with three young boys and two large dogs. Needless to say, the guitar has seen some abuse but is almost unmarked. If you want a better playing guitar you need to spend 2500 bucks. Even then are they 5 or 6 times better? Don't get me wrong if someone else is buying I'll take the $3000 Gibson; if I am paying I'd buy this guitar again in a heartbeat.

sounds best amplified

I've owned this guitar for a week, and I've discovered that it sounds best when played through a good acoustic amplifier. Unamplified, it's 'quiet'. It has a descent unamplified tone, but it really sounds a lot better when played through an amp: mine is a Fender Acoustasonic Junior. I think the best thing about this guitar is it's neck, which is very comfortable. I prefer a 'satin' finish on my guitar's necks, but this 'gloss' neck is very nice. And of course, this guitar's looks are a knock out! Beautiful to look at, and very well made. It's a joy to play, and I haven't been able to put it down since I bought it! A great axe! And you can play some serious rock on this acoustic electric.

great guitar at a reasonable price

This guitar is a very beautiful guitar constructed out of bubinga wood, which has a extremely beautiful grain. Very good sound and fairly easy action. Could not find any flaws on mine, set up perfectly and very well constructed. The good thing about a wood grain guitar verses a painted one is none are alike every wood grain is different so nobody has a identical guitar. This is a great price for a quality guitar you cant go wrong buying this guitar.
