This amp is not only really, really loud and clean but it's extremly versitle. I use it for just about everykind of north american music and it keeps a nice loud rich sound.

I must say that this amp is one of the best I've ever had the privilege of using. I play an eclectic mixture of shred, jazz, blues, etc., and this amp suits my tastes perfectly. Honestly, it is totally pwnz must tube amps I've used. With my J Mascis Jazzmaster, I receive a distortion tone that eclipses the majority of tube amps that I have used. The distortion tone, with the Jazzmaster, possess an opulence of definition and clarity. The effects are immaculate. The clean tone was hardXcore. With a dash of delay (which is brutal on this amp), the channel is reminiscent to that of a boutique tube amp. With my Jagmaster, I would rate this amp a 4.5 out of 5, but with the Jazzmaster, again, it is just hardXcore. Oh! and please cut your mids with this amp. It makes a world of difference.

My brother got this amp and it sounds pretty good. Get it if you want a nice head with effects.

i just recently bought this amp with a kustom cab and i was blown away with the ammount drive you can push through this amp. the effects are killer. with the effects toner you can select the intensity of the effect you have chosen. for a solid state amp, this is a killer amp and i would say tops alot of the better tubes amps out there

I recently purchased the Kustom Quad 200DFX amp head and have discovered a fantastic sound. The clean channel, with the "Fat" preamp is awesome for a solid state. Aggressive, meaty clean tone - perfect for the classic rock I play.

The distortion takes some tweaking - but with a little effort I have obtained the tone I was looking for. I turn the gain knob almost to 9 and set the bass to about 7, treble to 6 and mid to 4. But it's the fantastic chorus effect that puts it over the edge. I set the effect volume to about 5 - the echo and depth of the effect is perfect - I mean perfect! Solos scream with a retro wail without a hair metal fuzz tone - simply amazing.

The only drawback is that a foot switch is not included with the purchase, and should be. I would pay the extra cost. I do however, highly recommend the head.
