I bought this head and was not too disappointed in the tone etc, but when playing with many other friends with different 100 watt heads I noticed mines volume wouldnt hold up to theres so I had it looked at and come to find out my new kustom 100 watt head was pushing about 40 watts! Very disappointing!

My First Real Amp

I'm not wholly disappointed really. I play with the overdrive on and the gain nearly all the way up. The distortion is very mild any other way. The clean channel sounds fantastic. The DFX are nothing special. Only thing I want that isnt present is an overdrive activation on the footswitch. Good for nearly everything but metal. But its very kind to pedals on the clean channel. Lead channel is good with everything but distortion.

Great clean power levels. Lot so bass. And that's about it. The distortion on lead is okay, but a bit blunt...not even an attempt at getting a nice tube crunch sound. After two years, the effects are faulty, producing a steady clicking instead of the effect itself. Cheap knobs, maybe? I wish the Behringer was around when I got this.

For the person who wants a great stage amp but (like me) can't afford the Marshalls and Mesa Boogies, this is a must-have amp head! This amp Really rocks with great tone whether it be grunge, blues, or jazz. This amp sounds best when it is driven (dial control that acts like gain). It sounds great clean as well. The only place it lacks is when you are looking for just a touch of fuzz for some blues songs. It is not quite as silky as a tube amp, but then again it is a fraction of the price! Over all, this amp does a great job, and I play it through a Quad 4 Angle Cab, which makes it sound even better with its Celestion speakers. Very well put together. Quality is 1st class! You won't be sorry buying this amp. Performs great on stage!

This head produces some great tone. I run it through 2 four 12" cabs. and it powers them fine. Only 1 effect can be used at a time though. The gain suits me for the blues and classic rock style that I play.
