The Kustom '36 Coupe combo amp uses a dual 6L6 power tube platform with a 12AX7 preamp section and is rated at 36 watts RMS. With Master Volume controls on both the Rhythm and Lead channels, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of gain. From warm, chunky rhythm tones to high-voltage, high-sustain rock, it's all there.
Each channel also provides a Pull-Bright function that, when activated, modifies the low-end response for a chunkier, British-type tone. When not pulled, the tonal response is fuller and rounder, a more American-type tone. By the way, the EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) reflects pure, vintage Kustom specifications.
Drawing on its heritage, Kustom teamed up with U.S. speaker manufacturer Eminence to produce a new driver exclusively for the Coupe Series. The result is the KEI (Kustom-Eminence Integrated) Turbo 12 speaker. With its distinctive aluminum dust cap, the Turbo 12 is a modern interpretation of a vintage speaker design that gives players a taste of the original speaker's tonal properties, which were great for cleaner tones, while successfully handling more modern, high-gain sounds as well.
The '36 Coupe provides an Accutronics Reverb unit with Tone control (another vintage Kustom feature). You'll also find a Tube-Driven Effects Loop, a Baltic Birch cabinet, a speaker-emulated Line Out and a 3-function footswitch that switches channels, turns the effects on or off, and also activates a 10db overall volume boost for solos.
From sparkling clean to stinging blues and roaring rock, the '36 Coupe does it all. Offering boutique amp tones at production amp prices, you owe it to yourself to test drive a Coupe.

The day after I brought this home I sold my Fender and Marshall Tube Amps. The sound is awesome. The looks are gorgeous. If you want to know more look at the other reviews. I just can't get enough of this amp.

I went down to my local music, but forgot my favorite Ibanez ART-100 Silver Les Paul, but I decided I'll try the amp with any ol' Ibanez down at the shop. Just so happened the music store had a red ART-100 on shelf, "Great!!". So I ask Brian, the worker at the store if he could hook up the amp for me, and he did. The amp looks very retro, 60's ish with the cool looking Tuck N' Roll on it. I started to play random tunes on the clean setting, and this amp has many versitile settings, so It was a little hard to try the whole amp in just 10 mins with all the settings... but anyways, The clean channle sounds JUST like my 50'watt Kustom Defender, how amazed was I! The lead channel was pretty hard to get my kind of sound out of, you have to mess with the whole amp to get the sound I like (pop punk/emo/screamo music-EG:Hawthorne Heights, Chiodso, Green Day, modern day teen rock music so-to-speak) The amp supposebly has a Bright switch on it, but as I said before, I only had 10 mins, so I didn't even think of a bright switch untill I got into my car(which would of helped my pop punk distortion truely unfold with this amp)... The amp is great, and a perfect size for a gig, or jsut practice in a room, or even studio work for cd's. The distortion is pretty good, but I'll still mess w/ it till I find a good sound w/o a Ibanez DS-7 pedal. NOTE: I DO NOT OWN THIS AMP *YET*, I WAS SIMPLY JUST TESTING IT OUT!! :)*
I HIGHLY suggest this amp to ANYONE who like coutry, rock, blues, alternative, hair metal, or ANY type of music - NO JOKE!!

This amp is very versatile. I am primarily a rock and blues player and this thing nails both. ESPECIALLY ZZ Top, if anyone reading is a fan. Gets pretty loud. 4.0 on features due to the lack of EQ for both channels. However, this thing make sup fo rthat with a wealth of other features, my favourite being the volume boost for solos or whenever you need it. It can pull off marshall-ish sound or Fender cleans, as well as pretty brutal tone with a strong enough signal. Overall, highly recommended, you will not go wrong. Just be prepared, as this thing does not flatter your playing.

This is truly an awesome amp! Best feature is the fact that you can dial in the gain on both channels independently. Clean side can go from jangly, to smooth, to good ol' days tube distortion. Dirty side can get as nasty as you like. Built like a tank, I'm assuming that this baby is going to be with me for a long time!

Great Amp!

Probably the "smartest" amp I've ever owned. The two masters really make it easy to dial in the perfect tone, and the boost switch is great for live applications. Solid construction, looks good on stage, speaker sounds great. If you buy this amp you wont regret it.
