Good metal guitar with acceptable flaws

I bought a Kramer Pacer FT-202S from a local music shop last year. For the most part, it has performed well. The action is fast, the neck is very slim, and it's quite easy to play. If you're looking for a metal and/or hard rock guitar, this could be a good bet - with a few modifications. That said, these modifications are probably necessary before you even start to play this guitar. First of all, you need a professional and thorough setup. Because of the low quality of the bridge, your guitar will very easily go out of tune - this will necessitate probably two extra springs in the tremolo system and an exact setup to the guage of strings you want to put on. If you have this set for a light guage, and move to a light-medium gauge, for example, you're going to have to get this thing set up all over again, because even this slight change will make proper tuning impossible. As well, the pickups pump out a lot of power, but are muddy and have poor differentiation. So you'd best get them replaced as well. And be sure not to twist the tone and volume knobs too hard - with even a slight twist the wrong way, my tone knob came loose. As well, any slight scraping will easily crack the finish off this guitar - the finish is now coming off both the headstock and the tail of my guitar (the tail cracking is due to the cloth-strap scraping up against the finish several times). So overall, the quality on this guitar is probably just a bit above average - but, for the price, if you're willing to put a hundred or so extra dollars into it, it could be a very fast and easy playing rocker.

I played a friend's kramer once and it made me want this guitar. The guitar came with a bad setup. The bridge is a constant problem. The neck joint makes a noise if you start griping a little too hard. The output jack comes off constantly. I don't know maybe I got a monday guitar. The pickups are outstanding. The tone from them is incredible. I am not kramer bashing I am just listing the problems I have run into with this guitar.

Hot guitar

When I opened the package I was pleased This guitar it felt right. The action was set low the weight was balanced. The finish looked great. I went over to my amp an Ibanez Toneblaster 100H running through a digitech RP80 tuned my new Kramer a half step down. The sound was good I have had an American Strat for 8 years and the sound was not as warm and the pickups were not as hot but the sound was good. For the amount of money that I just paid for this Kramer I was pleased It has the look the feel and the sound of a rock machine. It is going to be used as a back up guitar for playing live and for the EVH songs.

I just got this guitar in light blue(metalic). It is well worth the money. solid built. Great neck. Contoured body. Old school headstock. 2 Humbuckers(pretty good ones). Just be sure to have a pro set it up before you ever play it or youll be sorry.

I got this guitar for christmas today and I havent stopped playing it! It is the best guitar I have ever played and best of all it is very cheap in price. Im suprised the value this guitar has for the price! The tremolo bar needs work, but it is the only flaw. If your looking for a guiatr to shred on for a cheap price, this is the one!
