My Guitar is a Custom Archtop similar...

My Guitar is a Custom Archtop similar to a Gibson ES355 and I was having difficulty finding a hardcase that would fit it that did not have a Guitar Brand Logo imprinted on it or that did not cost an arm and a leg. Failing that I decided to search out a good quality Gig Bag and even that was hard to find, mostly because most Gig Bags are either oversized for a Hollowbody or too cheaply made to even consider. I finally went online to Musicians Friend whom I had purchased from before (with good results I might add) and that is where I came accross the Kaces Structures Bag, Not knowing whether it would fit or not I fired off an email to MF and they responded that it would fit fine. Not taking them at their word I then contacted the Kaces Company directly and asked the same question giving them the dimensions of my Guitar. They replied that that particular bag I was looking at would not fit my guitar and promptly steared me onto one of their most expensive ones. I was in a dilemna. do I take MF's word or follow Kaces suggestion. Thankfully I chose Musicians Friend as I received the Bag today and it is a real beauty (I chose the Gunmetal color). It fits my Guitar like a glove, is heavy duty, very well made and has lots of storage compartments even for the backpack straps which are concealed until you need them a real plus. I would recommend this Bag to anyone who has a Hollowbody Archtop they need to protect at a reasonable price and I would also highly recommend Musicians Friend if your looking for any type of Gear they are the best

I took a risk, and it payed off

I took a risk on this gig bag because I don't usually buy items with no reviews. But I figured it looked good and I could always send it back if I didn't like it. Well, I got the eclipse version and flew out for college 2 days after. It has a much smaller depth than my hardcase, which meant the airline was more likely to let me take my guitar onboard. It has great padding, although I added some of my own foam to pad the bottom strap pin. The case is really big. I think it might be better suited for a hollowbody or maybe a larger solidbody than a strat, but I just wrapped a little strip of foam around the neck and the guitar doesn't move at all. The storage pockets are awesome. I can fit my computer, cords, tuner, picks, and metronome, and I still have space to spare. The backpack straps work well, but sitting comfortably, the headstock raises about 6" above my head. Being 6'4'', that doesn't work for me, but I like em anyway. I put 4.0 for the quality because a few threads started coming out but I don't think it's really bad, maybe it was something in the overhead compartment. Overall, great gig bag, I'm glad I bought it.
