Black Transparent Blue, Detail

The Jackson SL3 Soloist 2008 model is an electric guitar that features an alder body (with flame maple veneer on trans finishes), maple neck through body for amazing sustain, compound radius (14" to 16") rosewood fingerboard, Seymour Duncan JB humbucking (bridge) and Hot Rails (middle and neck) pickups, Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo and black hardware.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Very good guitar but not great.

I really like this guitar and very easy to play because of the super thin neck and wide fingerboard. The Floyd rose bridge can be a pain to tune for beginners but stays in tune for a long time once tuned. Love the 3 pick-ups but wish the (n) and (M) were not the same. The neck thu body is great and soooo much better than a bolt on and well worth the money because of the ease of play. For the money a very good buy but not great but way better than the cheaper Jackson's because of the better quality and better pick-ups to name a few. I gave it a 4.0 for quality because the pick-up selector switch and painted area around the pick-ups is not the best plus the volume knob is too close too the pick-ups. For almost 1200.00 bucks it could be better. If you can't afford the US made versions this is a very good stopping point for the money overall. I don't think you will be too disappointed with the it but wish it came with more paint options like the other Jackson's.

I bought this guitar about a year ago and its the best guitar ive ever played. It has the seymour duncan in the bridge so you get all the best tones out of it. My only complaints are that the front and middle pickups to me sound pretty weak (mostly because I play all metal in drop C and thats not great on single coils) I also don't like the floyd rose its too much of a pain for whats its worth. These two downsides dont even come close to making me regret buying this guitar. I love it and I think its awesome.

I recently purchased this guitar as it simply felt perfect. This guitar never ceases to amaze me. I recommend picking one up as soon as you can and playing on it if you like speed and playability. I definitely don't regret buying this guitar. Go try one!

I have owned a Soloist Sl3 for about 5 years. Best guitar I own for the type of music I play. I have a Gibson Les paul and a Fender Strat and I never play either guitar. The Soloist has amazing sustain great sound out of the Seymore duncan pick ups and is a beautiful guitar.

I've had my SL3 for a few years now, and it's been a very good guitar. It has tremendous sustain, because of the neck-thru, and nice floyd rose licensed. It's nice for soloing, but also has some nice rhythm features. My only negative would be that I bought a black one, and the paint job is so easy to crack. I once tapped the guitar against a wooden stool, not even hard, and it chipped, what gives? Anyway, it's a really nice guitar for what I paid, about half of what it was listed for on other sites. So Buy it, if you're not sure to.
