Jackson's dinky body style is world famous for very good reasons - it's light, comfortable, and very fast looking. The 2008 Jackson MG Series DKMG Dinky Electric Guitar sports the trademark Jackson reverse pointy headstock and EMG HZ humbuckers to deliver super-modern looks and harmonic-rich tones to match. Luxurious touches include shark-tooth fretboard inlays and bound fretboard and headstock. 24 jumbo frets and a Floyd Rose-licensed Jackson recessed double-locking 2-point vibrato.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Great Guitar For the Price! Have not put it down since i got it, Pickups sound great thinking about switching them to an 81/85 combo though. Tremlo is great never really throws the guitar out of tune, however is extremly time consuming to change...Other than that its a great guitar for the price and come on its a jackson!

This the the best bang for your buck. I have had this guitar for 2 years now and she is still kick'n BUTT! I did change out the pickups for something more high gain a year later, in the bridge I installed a Seymour Duncan Dimebucker and in the neck a Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model. In the last 6 months I also installed a 5-way switch instead of the 3 way which gives you 2 extra choices and at position 4 you get the Dimebucker split which is cool and at position 5 you get the bridge pickup with the neck split. I got the diagram off of Seymour Duncan's website. Everyone who checks out this guitar cannot believe how well it is made for being a less expensive Jackson. I agree with them all it is really one of the best Jacksons made right now on the market. Its a well made Japanese Jackson guitar. At least mine was made there! If you want a great guitar at a sweet price I would recommend this one without hesitation! This is your METAL now pick it up!

Jackson Dinky Reverse

Well, I obtained this guitar from a friend in need of having the guitar set up as it acquired a problem with the locking nut. Being a die-hard Jackson enthusiast for 20 years, I opted to trade him an Ibinez RG Series for this axe. :)

As I've come to expect from Jackson's bolt-on guitars, this one is no dissappointment either, nice features, comfortable, and lightning fast neck, and even what I'd call "special" features for a guitar this price with the HZ EMGs and neck binding/inlays are all flawless.

Back to the locking nut issue - what happened is, and is common with these licensed floyd rose tremolos, the two screws that attach the metal nut to the neck wood stripped out ever so slightly, yielding flex when string tension would vary, as such with using the tremolo or unison bends etc. Problem solved with very slightly larger machine screws, no drilling required.

I play this guitar at band open mic nights and will consider gigging with it, very nice guitar for the price - as expected from Jackson.

I am a 14 year-old musician, and I received this guitar for Christmas. I am amazed at how good a guitar this is. The Floyd Rose is great, the EMG's work fine, and the 24 frets are fast. Only one warning, if you have never owned a Floyd Rose guitar, I would get help using it correctly and tuning it. Overall A+.

I bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago. The neck is really fast, and the Emg's dont sound bad at all. The floyd is nice and the guitar stays in tune, and it looks cool. This guitar is all of what you pay for and more!! I highly recommend this guitar to any foo looking to play anything from grindcore to punk rock.
