Deep Metallic Red Transparent Blue Eerie Dess Swirl, Closeup Blue Orange Flames Crimson Swirl Black

The Jackson 2008 DK2 Dinky Electric Guitar is both a looker and a screamer with Seymour Duncan STK-1s in the neck/mid and a Duncan JB in the bridge position and flashy finishes. Blue orange flame model is hand-painted and signed by the artist-an unheard-of feature in a guitar at this price. The alder body is fitted with a shred-eriffic rock maple neck and a bound compound-radius rosewood fretboard. Transparent finish models have a stunning flamed maple top. A scalloped heel means uninhibited access to the upper frets, while a Floyd Rose double-locking trem lets you dive as deep as you want.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Jackson DK2 Dinky Electric Guitar (2008 Model) Features:

  • Alder body with flamed maple top (transparent finishes only)

Not bad

This is a nice guitar but I feel to be honest not the greatest value. I have played many guitars over the years and I have owned a few jacksons my first was a the cheapest one they offered at the time and this feels no different. The pickups are nicer and the first one I had did not have a floyd rose so there are the obvious differences but as far as the feel its the same. While I don't think jackson can make a bad guitar I didnt feel I got my money worth. If you want a sexy paint job this is the guitar for you it looks great very heavy metal In the crimson swirl but if you have limited resources try lower models first this is no different just prettier. And if you have money to spend skip this and get a soloist I dont understand why they dont just make this in a neck through at this price I feel it should be and after playing and owning the dean ml this guitar feels very small and light which could be a good thing if thats what you are in the market for so to recap. Great paint not a bad sounding light guitar quality is very good no flaws that I can see oh the action is kinda high for a guitar in this range by jackson but I havent had it setup so to be fare that might be easily fixed.

I traded an Agile PS-1000 and a wah pedal for this thing and it was so worth it, I love it. It plays like an old friend and it's body style is just like an Ibanez. The pickup configuration is great there's no muddyness or anything. The only problem is a slight grounding that causes a little bit of buzz. the neck is wide and thin and plays great. Balance is great when standing up and it's very light.

I played this today at a music store and i wasn't really impressed. I have a DK2M and it plays much smoother than this one does. The neck seemed thicker and wasn't that comfortable. The Floyd was the same as on my DK2M, it's really good. I prefer a H-0-H or H-S-H pickup configuration but i usually keep it on the bridge pickup so whatever. It would be really nice if the DK2 (and DK2M) had more than one volume knob, but again, whatever. It's not awful, but it could be better. I guess if you're into one of the more expensive finishes you'd probably like this, but I prefer solid colors so I'll stick with my DK2M.

Amazing Guitar

I bought this guitar, in Eerie Dess Swirl color, and it looks just like it does in the picture. Jacksons in my opinion, are some of the nicest guitars you can own. They sound amazing. Just check out Marty Friedman to hear just how good they sound. But my favorite thing about Jacksons are the tuners. They hardly ever go out of tune. So you don't have to tune them much.

This version of the Eerie Dess Swirl may be cheaper, but it features a beautiful maple wood neck, that the more expensive version lacks. So I like this one better. And I also believe it sounds just as good.

Amazing guitar, and a great choice.

I've had this guitar for 6 months, I bought it used but still paid a good price. this one has the active pickup and volume control switch turning my Duncans into screamers, the neck is wider than gibsons and fenders but thats ok my fingers are long and fat and chording is more comfortable for me. The floyd rose allows me to go for deep moaning and back to wails of pain and stays in tune endlessly. For the price of this Guitar its worth it new or used compared to what I've had to pay for alot of Guitars over the 30 yrs I've been playing..I have Duncans in my SG and Iommi and Burstbucker in my Les Paul and the Duncans are just as good of a pickup that can be put in any guitar. This Guitar is comfortable to play, the neck dont stick way out there harmonics are sweet and just what I was lookin for when I picked this thing up for the first time, thats why it road home with me. Buy this guitar and see for yourself or try one out and go from there.
