Desert Camo Black, Back Desert Camo, Back Black, Close Angle Desert Camo, Close Angle Black, Headstock

Designed with the Fear Factory guitarist, this arched-top 2008 Jackson Dinky guitar brings together smokin' playability and muscular tone to deliver the ultimate 6-string experience for metalheads. It features all-mahogany construction with a bolt-on neck, ebony fretboard, string-thru body design, a reverse headstock, and black hardware. The single ceramic-magnet, steel-pole EMG-81 pickup delivers high-output tone, consistent distortion, and buckets of sustain. Jackson artist instruments are built to handle the hard life of the road, and are ready to take whatever gets thrown at them.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

I noticed this guitar in a local shop about a year ago. I was intrigued by the fact that it was a Jackson I had never seen. The finish looked great ( if you are in to that ), the design looked very simple and to the point. After asking a few questions and learning this was a pro model for a a guy who I am not all that into, I put this guitar back without playing it. Big mistake. Right now I was looking to get a L.P shaped guitar with active emgs. Being a Jackson man, this is not possible. Then I saw this guitar again and realized it has everything I need. A simple string setup. The neck is fast, it sounds great at high volumes and the single emg 81 gives about the most direct power you will get. I can't comment on how well it stays in tune, because I'm not sure I don't own it. But Jackson is good quality under anyones banner. This guitar is useless for certain styles of music ( in my opinion ). But if you play metal or hard rock and primarily have 1 or 2 or 3 MAIN guitar sounds, a guitar like this is great. Nothing to fiddle with. I have always loved the floyd roses systems but sometimes you need something with no frills. Bottom line - if you like this guitar but don't like fear factory, dont let that stop you. It is good guitar for the money. Comparable to a usa soloist, NO, but at least this guitar is not trying to be anything but a metal monster. I will probably but it unless I can get a L.P with emgs at a really good price.

After years of looking for just the right feel and voice from a guitar i've found that i tend to prefer jackson/charvel guitars, they feel great in my hands and the finish is second to none, I was alittle concerned with the new jackson line since fender took over the company a couple years ago, but I went ahead and purchased the black version of this guitar, when it arrived i was blown away, the guitar is very simple 1 volume knob 1 pickup and strings thru the body, the paint is flawless and the setup was great out of the box, the guitar sings with a voice all its own and deffinatly sounds better than its price would lead you to beleive, Great guitar, great value check this one out in a shop if your looking for a great hard tail guitar.

i bought this guitar because of its simple controls and stripped features. its made for one thing, metal! sometimes less is more. the ebony neck is smooth and lets your fingers reach sonic notes in groundbreaking time. made in japan, might as well be made in u.s.a.

This guitar is very very nice. It has a metal edge to it. If your looking for a guitar with great sound and a neck that you can play all day on, this may be the guitar your looking for. This guitar is straight up brutal- only one knob, for volume.

I play lead guitar in a metal band. This is a great guitar. Nothing beats EMG active pickups. I like the simple controlls. Great action out of the box. I have had the guitar for 3 months now and it's one of my favorites. I love the feel of the neck.
