Black, Rosewood Fretboard Dark Metallic Red, Rosewood Fretboard

The 2008 version of the Jackson JS30RR Rhoads JS Series Electric Guitar looks great and plays fast. Late guitar whiz Randy Rhoads backed up Ozzy with lightning-fast, classically-based riffs. He worked with Jackson to design this unique-looking and fast-playing electric guitar with dual Jackson CVR2 humbucker pickups for plenty of high-end sparkle. The string-thru alder body with bolt-on maple neck produces great sustain and the compound radius rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets aid clean runs. Jackson put chrome tune-o-matic bridge and die-cast tuners on the JS30RR guitar.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

I've owned this guitar for a little over a year and it's GREAT for the price. I've played on many different guitars and brands such as Shecter, Ibanez, Gibson, and I love my Rhoads the best. The jack is in a dumb location but I have a right angle jack so it's all good. The neck is very fast and the pickups are great considering being stock pickups. Replace the pickups with EMG's and put on Ernie ball strings and you got a hell of a metal guitar!!!

WHAT A GUITAR !!!

Alright, this guitar is simply amazing for its price. First of all, what better looking guitar could you ask for. Also the neck is very smooth and thin, the best for you to get those solos. The lower parts of the neck are very easily accessed on this guitar, a problem solved for me. The tone is just what any metal guitarist would ask for, a bit heavier than usual but if you need to go on clean, it still sounds great.

However, there is one thing about this guitar that may seem to be a problem for some people(not me though). The problem is that there is no way that you can play this guitar for more than 10-15 mins whilst sitting down. Therefore if you want this guitar and think that sitting down is something you do a lot then I suggest you have another guitar for that purpose and leave this one for a** kicking when you're performing.

One more thing to add, I have played on a Gibson Les Paul Studio before and I honestly do not see a big difference. The only thing that was a bit better was 2 volume controls for the different pickups and the fact that you could play it sitting down. So honestly, anyone looking for a value guitar, this Jackson Rhoads is the one.

Hope this helps, and wish you the best of luck out there !!!

Allright, I recently got this guitar with a portion of my tax return. I was in dyer need of a decent axe and didn't have much in the way of funds. I must say, this thing is AWESOME for the price.

The neck feels very comfortable and easily lends itself to learning essential lead guitar techniques. Keep in mind, it's not a high-end Jackson. On that merit alone: 5 stars easily. The pickups are pretty decent but nothin' special. The bridge definitely needs to be set before you get some decent action. The hardware is pretty good-lookin' and surprisingly decent. The fretboard and the overall shape of the guitar is just sexy. Again, for the price, it kicks a**.

The only complaint I have about this model is the overall balance of the instrument: the body is so light that the neck tends to anchor downward when I play standing. Oh yeah, and it's sorta uncomfortable to play sitting as well.

Anyhow, this is my first Jackson and I look forward to checking out the higher-end versions in the future. I can see why alot of metalists prefer Jackson over other guitars.

Thank you Jackson, you are the saving grace for poor metalists everywhere!!
