Honey Gold Dark Sunset Burst

The Ibanez SV5470 Electric Guitar is a metal-minded beast. 24 frets of wicked-fast neck, SynchroniZR bridge with ZPS-FX spring system, and an advanced tonal versatility give this SV guitar an edge over most guitars in its class. Made in Japan by Ibanez's best craftsmen.

Heavy mahogany tone without the heavy mahogany weight. Thin around the edges for comfort, fat around the pickups and bridge for tone. Features True Duo pickups with a push/pull volume knob for HSH or Triple Single pickups mode selection.

5-piece neck with Prestige finishing for increased playing comfort, Gotoh precision tuning machine.

The SynchroniZR (Zero Resistance) bridge with the ZPS-FX spring system returns you to "zero" center point after each use of the tremolo arm, even in the case of string breakage! No more wondering if you're back in tune or worse, knowing you're not! One more way the Ibanez SV5470 guitar gives you more dive-bombing freedom with less hassle.

I have had this wonderful guitar for almost 2 weeks. I recieved it the day before I played at a huge city block party as the headlining band. I love this guitar. Like I said I got it the day before, took it out of the case just loved it, set the action to my likeing and started jaming away. We play everything from Boston to Journey to Guns-n-Roses and more. It is very versitle and the tone is awesome, played through my Marshall JCM 2000 100 watt half stack. I was a little disapointed in the trem bar itself, bent to high up for me, but I fixed it. The zero resistance is great, I have bombed the crap out of it and has not once been out of tune. If your not sure of a guitar, I highly recommend this great piece of craftmanship. I JUST LOVE IT. This is an awesome guitar. All of its features are the best even down to the case. Fast neck, thin body, detailed trim. No picture does it justice, the finish is even more beautiful in person and the grain is gorgeous and more defined. I love the auto trim tuners and the bridge design exceeds all bridges to date. The pick-ups are amazing with the five selector switch plus the coil tap knob that makes sound options far reaching and crisp with excellent harmonics and tone. I can go on all day with this. I've owned many Ibanez guitars so I'm a die hard fan and glad to be one of the first to own it. Rock on!

The SV5470F is one of the best guitar's I've played. I was initially tossing up between the SV5470 and a Fender American Deluxe HSS Stratocaster, however I choose the SV because of its slick S Prestige Neck and true duo pick up features. The true duo blast pick ups by ibanez are a real bonus. They really sound as if they are single coils, think of something like Fender SCN pick ups when on single coil mode. The coil toggle switch is on the volume knob, rather than the tone knob in most guitars, making it easier to switch while playing. The pick ups are nice, not unbelievably great but I like them a lot. The bridge pick up is pretty hot and the neck pick up helps you get those beefy bluesy tones. The pick ups in single coil mode sound glassy and relatively thin, like what a single coil pick up sounds like, though you might not get as much punch as an original strat, but it gets the job done and might I add, it does a pretty good job too. This adds to the guitar's overall versatility.I play Metal, rock and blues, two ends of a wide spectrum of styles, and this guitar pulls both off just fine. The neck is slick and slim, like a lot of the Ibanez guitars, they take pride in their necks, and for good reasons, its fast and easy to play. Now one of the main features of this guitar is its SyncroniZR tremolo. It feels like it floats, and yet its not an Floating tremolo. The Auto trim tuners help it to stay in tune well, I've only had to tune this guitar a handful of times after giving it some Joe Satriani-like abbuse. You can raise the note, around two semitones up, but not much as its not a floyd. The colour and finish is absolutely beautiful, when I laid my eyes on it for the first time, it was like love at first sight. I own a Dark Sunset Burst one, however the Natural blue colour is beautiful as well. To address sustain issues on this guitar, I felt that the sustain was a bit on the weak side for a mahogany guitar around 12th fret and below. However it doesn't bother me much as I normally play rhythm lower down on the neck. All in all, great guitar, only issue I had with it, was the price, which is always an issue anyway. If it were to get lost, I would definitely buy it again. For someone who wants an axe with wide sonic capabilities and versatility, this is a must!!
