Transparent Black Sunburst Red Viking Red Optimus

This Ibanez S5470 Prestige is the electric guitar other metal-minded guitars will be judged against. 24 frets of wicked fast neck, ZR2 bridge with ZPS3 spring system, and an advanced tonal versatility give the S5470 guitar an edge over most guitars in its class.

Heavy mahogany tone without the heavy mahogany weight. Thin around the edges for comfort, fat around the pickups and bridge for tone. S Prestige model features HGD1 Hot Grinder neck humbucker pickup, ST1 Short Tracer mid single-coil pickup, and HGD2 Hot Grinder bridge humbucker pickup. The Hot Grinder humbuckers are hot, yet sharp enough to hear the pick bite the strings. The Short Tracer has a strong magnet that provides full output in low profile setting.

5-piece neck with Prestige finishing for increased playing comfort, Gotoh precision tuning machines and deluxe Prestige case. Made in Japan by Ibanez's best craftsmen.

The ZR2 (Zero Resistance) bridge with the ZPS3 spring system returns you to "zero" center point after each use of the tremolo arm, even in the case of string breakage! No more wondering if you're back in tune or worse, knowing you're not! One more way to provide more dive-bombing freedom with less hassle.

99.9% perfect guitar

First of all, buy this guitar. If you are looking at it and can't decide between this and another guitar, get this one. I play a ton of genres and this guitar can handle all of them. One of the main genres i play is mathcore. Bands like protest the hero and older The human abstract. There is always things to add to a guitar that's why i gave it a 4.5 on features. The pickups suck ass, i'm getting Dimarzio Evo 2's and Dimarzio D sonics for it. The pickups cannot handle low tunings like even D standard. But the pickups are only 150 together. Don't let this distract you from getting the guitar though. Extremely low price for the quality of instrument. This guitar does nothing that the guy below this comment said. The neck joint is a little weak but it's not like you're gonna be throwing the guitar around just holding the neck. Anyways, the guitar is amazing, i can't put it down, this will stay in tune forever. I got the transparent black sunburst and it is really a beautiful guitar. More beautiful than the photo. like any guitar, it isn't perfect, the intonation was a pain in the ass but it's almost perfect now, i just decided i'm gonna get a earvana nut for it. then the guitar will perfect. overall a 5, i couldn't be happier with the decision i made

High points: Thin neck is super comfortable, very light, pickup variety is nice. Low points: Just didn't seem "solid". Input jack coming loose and the tone knob would move vertically. Had to play "light" or it almost had a slight rattle to it. Final choice: I went with a USA Jackson, when I played them side by side the Jackson just seemed so much more solid / tight. Don't get me wrong I love Ibanez (I own a USA Sabre) but when put up against the USA it just couldn't compete and I'm in for the long haul. The RR1 neck was thinner than the RR3 or RR5 which was my favorite feature of Ibanez and helped me decide on the RR1. You decide - me, I'll stick with the good 'ole USA.

The Perfect SuperStrat!!!

I have been a die hard Fender strat man every since I started playing about 22 years ago and I have to say that the Ibanez S5470 is perhaps the most perfect guitar I have ever played. The action, playability, tones, hardware, and workmanship are all absolutely perfect. I didn't think I would ever want anything other than my Fender strats but the S5470, aside from being thinner and lighter, has the strat body look, sexy curves, contours, etc. It's all there - PLUS it's like the Japanese have taken this thing to the next millennium with all of their refinements making this thing play and sound like no other guitar I have ever experienced. If I had to choose just one instrument I would have to sell all my other guitars. Buy this guitar now!

I got this guitar about 2 weeks ago, and I was completely blown away by the tremelo system. I was able to dive bomb all day, and it would stay perfectly in tune. I got it in the black sunburst and what a sight. Very fast neck for solos, and the pickups are perfect. Best guitar I have, or ever will own

After much thought on which S series I was gonna get it came down too this one, every feature of this guitar amazing I plan on changing the pups, but that doesn't mean the stock ones are nice as hell anyway, and I got the satin oil as well, and this picture really doesn't do it justice!
