The Ibanez RG420 is an electric guitar with a real Custom Shop feel. The Ibanez RG420 has a thin, flat bound 24-fret, 3-piece Wizard II neck for fast and effortless shredding. Aesthetic touches include sharktooth fingerboard inlays and cosmo black hardware.

Advanced Electronics
The solidbody RG420 guitar delivers a broad range of tones produced by advanced components and a unique pickup switching system. In the neck position is an Ibanez INFINITY 1 pickup that is versatile and responsive with warm classic tone and added output. In the bridge position is an Ibanez INFINITY 2 pickup that has enhanced midrange output and excellent dynamics. The INF1 pickup has an Alnico-5 magnet for individual string clarity. Controls include a master volume, master tone, and a 5-way selector switch.

Edge III Tremolo
No other guitar maker has done so much to advance the art and science of the tremolo than has Ibanez. The Edge III represents the next phase in locking tremolos. Its low profile fine-tuners and two screws in the arm pocket allow easy adjustment of the arm height and torque. The double-locking Edge III trem delivers radical effects and sonic chaos with total tuning stability.

I LOVE this guitar! Looks, tone and playability, are all just beautiful. Ibanez gives you your money's worth and then some. If you're looking to shred, you're looking in the right direction. The only way I play clean is acoustic, but I have tried this out clean and it sounded great. Playing through my 2x12 ToneBlaster with a DF7, (Distortion Factory), pedal, this thing is just a monster. Did I mention I freakin' LOVE it? Buy one today! Do it now!
