I have been playing this guitar for more than a year. The neck is thin and extremely FAST!!! Once you play on an Ibanez Prestige neck you will have a tough time going back to a thick neck like a Les Paul with the 50's profile. The pickups work for Blues and Metal...I haven't wanted to change them. The 24 Frets are a definite plus - those 2 extra frets make a BIG difference. The Japanese guitar luthiers are extremely meticulous and it shows. This is a top-shelf guitar at a great price.

THe guitar is great! I've seen guitars with thinner necks and lower action but on the guitar the strings are soo soft. Compared to other guitars this rg makes it easy somehow to bend notes without much effort. Although the neck is thinner than the s series guitar neck. The tremelo is great, it's the best tremelo I've used, but isn't so accurate when it comes to tuning.

I was shocked when I finally opened the case to the rg for the first time. The guitar looked beautiful. It looked way better in person than online. The guitar works great, not only is the sound clean but it is at the same time screaming. The action is also really good. The neck is wide so you'll have to get used to it. With a little work on the tremolo height, the action should be perfect, but overall this guitar is worth it.

Well I was in a music shop the other day and I played this guitar through a half stack tube amp and let me tell you playing it was effort less. I have been playing strats since I first started playing guitar and the difference in action and weight and the extra frets (compared to a strat) made it as easy as playing air guitar. I play thrash metal and it seemed perfect for it.

I just added the Ibanez RG2620CBK to my arsenal, and I love it. It came set up perfectly and the pickups are killer and the quality is top notch. I gave up my '73 Strat for it. My favorite guitar of many I own. I play rock and southern rock in a working band doing covers and originals.
