The more compact member of the Ibanez Exotic Wood family, the EWC acoustic-electric features a body that's smaller in size and shallower in depth than the original EW's for increased playing comfort and acoustic projection. With a top of Padauk, a mahogany neck and body, B-Band® pickup and SRTn preamp with onboard tuner, the EWC30PDERLG guitar from the EW acoustic guitar family will inspire you with it's great looks, sound and playability. The sharp cutaway is an eye-catcher and provides easy access to the highest frets. Great electronics give you superb control over your tone, and the 1/4" and XLR output mean you're ready to plug into just about anything.

Sound and playability are the two most important components in an instrument. But very few will deny that a standout visual aspect enhances your performance. The appearance and sound of the unique Exotic Wood Series guitars were designed for the player who is looking for a completely new and different voice. You won't find anything else quite like the Ibanez EW guitars even among guitars that are much more expensive.

A Unique Guitar

I was given this guitar for my birthday, and I have to say that it is one of the most beautiful guitars I have seen for the price. The exotic wood makes the guitar stand out from most others. Since the body is smaller some richness is sacrificed, but when plugged in the guitar totally makes up for the sound. This guitar is perfect for when your just chillin out. If you are looking for a guitar that is unique and unlike others this is the one for you.

The best guitar I've ever played.

I've been playing this guitar for a few hours a day for the past year. I own 13 guitars and have played countless others, inlcuding top of the line Martins and Taylors.

This is the best acoustic guitar I've ever played. It has a the quality of tone, build finish, detail and playability of a custom guitar by a top luthier.

The tone is absolutely unique. It has the mellowness of a classical guitar with the edge of an steel string. It's capable of a huge range of dynamic expression and has a sustain that I've only ever found in a Maingard guitar.

This is *not* a guitar for everyone, however. Expect something completely new. It's a guitar for mid-summer nights in haunted fairy glens.

I do not usually write reviews but feel Ibanez deserves congratuations for engineering one of the finest guitars ever built.

I have 5 acoustic/electrics all in 500 dolar price range. This is by far my favorite because of its comortable size and easy play neck. The neck is thinner and the low action is perfect. This plays as easy as any electric guitar. The unplugged volume isn't huge, but the tone is excellent, mellow and bassy. Sounds even beter plugged ih. The exotic wood finish is beautiful and tough. This thing will not show a pick scratch no mater how hard played. I intend to buy a second one why they are still available.

I had been waiting for another guitar to arrive via online order and found this one at a local guitar shop. I cancelled the online order and brought this one home. I've been playing some pretty high-dollar guitars lately, and this one is comparable. I like the smaller size, easy to hold for stand-up gigs. Maybe not the depth of tone, but it's got some serious volume and rings out nicely. The bass is suprisingly deep. Use a decent acoustic amp, and you've got a great sound at bargain price . . . plus, it's beautiful. Glad I found it.

So Comfortable to Play

I bought the Mini EW for playing and recording at my desk. The smaller size is great in your lap and comfortable to play. The setup out of the box was good, I will make some minor adjustments after it gets some playing time. The guitar looks great and the quality is amazing for this price. The sound unplugged is warm and better than I expected. Plugged in the B-Band electronics are nice and sounds better than my 79 Takamine. The onboard tuner is great My only complaint is the electronics on the lower bout, they would be much easier to see if they were on the upper bout. Overall its a really nice guitar and well worth the price.
