The MTM1 Mick Thompson Signature Electric Guitar has a 5-piece thru-neck and mahogany body that pump out full, fat tone with strong sustain. It's as awe-inspiring (and dangerous looking) an electric guitar as the artist who designed it. An Edge FX bridge offers double-locking stability with fixed bridge simplicity and sustain. This is a guitar made for heavy rock and metal, featuring Seymour Duncan Blackouts humbuckers, a mahogany body for rich warm lows and sweet sustain, and 24 jumbo frets offering easy playing for leads and chording. Factory equipped with heavy strings tuned to Mick's preference of C# tuning with a dropped B: (low to high) B-F#-B-E-G#-C#.

I've owned alot of different guitars through the years, but this is definately one I will NEVER sell for ANY reason. It's the easiest guitar I've ever played. This thing practically plays itself. If you're curious, just try one and see for yourself. I promise you'll leave with it.

Mick designed himsself and the public a nice, fast, active, neck thru shred machine! I don't think I've ever tuned this thing since I put new strings on it. That's how much stability you get with the double locking EDGE FX bridge in combination with the locking nut. The Blackouts are better than EMG pickups tone wise but don't seem to have as much bite. The harmonics are LOUD though and i love it! What else is cool is that the red is a different red under every light. The blood red is a very cool color. I love the simplicity of a single volume knob.

This is definitely my new favorite guitar. I love the neck thru Wizard II neck, I love the fine tuners, I love the color, and I definitely love the MTM1 with the blackouts! Easy to shred on, and awesome riffage coming from this machine!

Plays Great

I tried this guitar out a while ago at my local guitar store. This guitar was extremely light and the Wizard neck was a very thin U shape that did not disappoint. The EMG 81-60 combination was great. The 81 gave a great sharp sound for the lead, and the 60 gave a nice warm sound for the rhythm. The action on this guitar was nice and low and the playability was great. I found this guitar should've had a tremolo because it seems useless to have a locking nut without a tremolo. Other than that, this guitar was flawless. BUY IT!
