My local music store had one of these and after seeing it on the wall several trips over there, I finally picked it up and I'm glad I did. The neck isn't like the Wizard necks but it works. I would like 24 frets but I can do without. I love the body style. If I could, I'd get this is a custom 7 string version. The pickups could be better but Nick from AILD replaced them with EMG 81/85 set and it sounds great not to mention he plays crazy fast. Basically, try it before you buy it(if you can find one).

After 3 days i instantly returned it.It doesn't hold its value very well and it isnt revry good for shredding or solos. Maybe you could use it for some Metallica type rythems [which is cool!] but its just very limited and i feel that everyojne even thinking about this guitar should try it< but then tell me if you agree with me.I much prefer the likes of an ibanez PRestige or RG.

This is a great guitar. The pickups are great but they could be better. I would recommend seymour duncs or dimarzios. The neck is really fast. Great body design. The only problem was it only has 22 frets. I am a shredder and I would prefer 24 but its ok this guitar is great

Unique guitar

I bought an Ibanez Iceman X for my first guitar, but I wasn't satisfied with it. So I bought this guitar: The Ibanez Iceman 400. It is a great guitar that's good for playing any type of music. However, one of the volume knobs was missing when recieved the guitar. I found it in the bottom of the box. Guitarwise... I recommend this guitar to anybody who wants something different.

Who needs a Les Paul?

Seriously, who needs a Les Paul? I don't, considering I got mine for less than half the price of a Les Paul Studio, and less than a quarter the price of a Les Paul Standard. The IC400 is extremely solid, sustains for days, plays like a dream, is fully bound from the rear strap button to the tip of the headstock in gorgeous cream binding, has an very comfortable set maple neck, awesome inlays, the totally unique Iceman shape, a solid mahogany body, etc. The only thing I'll count against this guitar, is the stock pickups. While they're by no means bad, they're not great. Once I swapped the bridge pickup for a DiMarzio Super Distortion, and the neck pickup for a DiMarzio Super 2, this thing became an unstoppable monster. The Iceman is a highly underrated guitar, for reasons unbeknownst to me. Pick one up NOW!
