There are a lot of guitars to choose from. The Ibanez EWC30ASERLG EXOTIC WOOD SERIES Acoustic-Electric Guitar is different. Singular in looks and sound because it's made from exotic figured ash. The compact mini-body size gives total comfort and easy playability. The grain patterns are striking. It's amazing to find an exotic wood guitar in this price range.

For faithful reproduction of acoustic tone, a B-Band UST pickup is paired with the Ibanez SRTn preamp with notch filter and an onboard tuner. Tune anytime, anywhere. You'll also be ready for whatever connections are available; the EWC30ASERLG is equipped with balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

Paired with the fine wood are high-end cosmetic appointments also found on guitars costing much more: an abalone rosette, Ibanez chrome die-cast tuners and a natural high-gloss finish. If you've been holding back on an acoustic guitar purchase because you haven't found the right features at the right price, your wait is over.

I'm an Ibanez fan when it comes to acoustics. I was imediately drawn to this guitar based on looks and I get so many compliments about the look of the guitar with many thinking its a custom made guitar. The smaller body does equate to a comprimise in sound, she has a limited low end which can be a problem for some styles, but coupled with a good quality amp with effects to counter the lack of bass, you could do a lot worse. Overall she is a beauty to play and she both plays and sounds a lot better than many much higher priced guitars. So good in fact, I am thinking of purchasing another of the same model as a back up guitar.

i liked the tone of the body when the guitar was unplugged. i was disappointed with the plugged in tone. i thought it was very dull sounding. i also discovered a good amount of vibrations especially the a string. overall. i feel it is a decent guitar but i'm somewhat heartbroken.

The moment I picked one of these up, I fell in love. The size, the feel, and the deep, rich sound are everything I was looking for in a new guitar. It's a joy to play.

On top of all this, it's a freakin' work of art. Beautiful.

Got this pretty baby a almost two years ago. Couldn't be happier with the value. Unplugged it has a light and bright tone more than likely due to the ash front, sides and back.

Ibanez lover let down

Let me start by saying I am a Ibanez guitar fan both electric and acoustic: What I like about the Guitar: The guitar finish in exotic ash is nothing but beautiful. The onboard tuner is flawless, What a handy tool every guitar should have one of these. What I did not like about the guitar: After tuning it up I began playing, the sound was very flat and disappointing. I felt the limitations in sound were partly due to the very small size of the body. Acoustically the EW Body does not appear to be big enough to put out a quality acoustic sound. I did not plug the guitar, so this could resolve some of these issues, however when I buy and acoustic / electric guitar I expect that it can perform effectively in both arenas . This particular one appeared to have missed quality control as the action was so high on the lower frets that it was uncomfortable to play. The action height was similar to the action you might expect from a Mark II guitar found at many large department stores. Due to the limitations in the Guitars sound I felt that this guitar was over priced. What you get in exchange for the beauty of exotic Wood is a Guitar with a very diminished flat sound. I have sent mine back to get something with a fuller sound.
