The Ibanez AS103 Artcore Guitar offers semi-hollow sustain, power, and feedback resistance. Flamed maple on the top back and sides provides beauty and clear tone. A 5-piece Artcore custom set-in neck increases sustain and strength. Two Ibanez Custom 58 pickups have a full, versatile output great for rhythm and lead. Artcore Custom inlays and gold hardware complete the elegant package.

Players, music store owners and the music industry press were stunned by the debut of the affordable Ibanez Artcore guitars in 2002. That still didn't prepare them for the unveiling of the Artcore Customs in 2005. These are truly exquisite guitars that offer patrician specs and tones at plebeian prices. The question "How do you do it?" is still being asked.

Satisfies the 335 GAS!!!

You won't find a better performing, production line semi-hollow anywhere else for the price!!! The AS103 is definitely Custom Shop Quality!!! 100% playable right out of the box - action is just right and neck is fast and thin like a 60's style on the Gibson 335's. The construction and cosmetic quality are absolutely flawless (no exaggeration. The frets are immaculately dressed and all the parts are screwed on straight and tight). plays acoustically loud unplugged and sustains well. I'm liking this semi-hollow more and more, every time I pick it up. The D'addario 10's were okay, but stringed her up with Ernie Ball 11's and that took her voice to another level. Just getting used to the pickups (not as hot as Gibson '57s) and I think there's a reason for that. Turn up the amp a little and the clear and woody tones are captured beautifully. The product photo does not do this guitar justice. In person, the guitar looks 100 times better! If you want to find a guitar that will out perform this one, you will have to pay the $3,000 price tag...but don't count on that as a guarantee.

I have been playing this guitar for three years now, and every day I pick it up is a treat. The range of tone produced by this guitar is amazing. I bought this guitar to be an in between for my jazzbox and my solid body, now I find I play it more than any of my other guitars. The neck on this thing is so comfortable, the neck pickup produces and unbelievable fat tone while the bridge position gives you tones of twang. I play this through my 68 Garnett stack and every time I am floored by the sound of this guitar. It is a must have for any one.

Ok, this guitar is unbelievable. The quality of Ibanez Artcores are unsurpassed for the price. The guitar plays well enough, i had to adjust the action and replace the strings after the first week but that was totally my preference, because the factory setup is playable. the number feature of this guitar is the tone. let me tell you, get ready for the most impressive tone for this price that you will ever find. I have recently upgraded to an American strat, but this will always be one of my favorite guitars

I was at my local music store and looking for a new axe, and i saw this one. i picked up and suddenly realized how heavy it was for a hollowbody. It also is quite large. As for the playing goes, it has a relatively smooth neck but for some reason the fretboard is rather annoying due to its lack of finish. The stock pick-ups are not that bad. The thing I like about this guitar the most is that it stays in tune very easy. The fact that it comes with a case is cool, especially because it comes with a decent case. I would reccomend this guitar to someone who plays mostly blues and classic rock because it does not handle a lot of gain very well. If you switch styles alot and dont want to change your guitar I would reccomend just getting an american fat strat and spend a little more money.

This guitar always stood out to me when I went into my local guitar store. The look of it is breathtaking. I decided to sit down with it and try it out. I plugged into a Fender Blues Deluxe and was surprised by how well the guitar was set up. The action is perfect. The guitar is well built and for the price, you cant go wrong.
