This guitar is the best guitar for the money. It is the most crisp and deep sounding guitar Ive played. I think it compares much to martins and taylors in terms of sound. It has a solid spruce top and laminated; what looks like rose wood and its just in general a good looking guitar and sounds even better.

I bought this guitar for a backup quitar which, therefore, I did not wanted to pay big money for. After having tried quite a few guitars, I thought of taking the Alvarez mahogany top RF20SM. I, however, tried this I changed my mind immediately. This baby has a small grand concert body (thinner than the RF20SM), but produced an amazing sound. Great tone, and unbelievably loud for its size and price (but sure you can get a better one if you would pay more. Sometimes people say in their reviews that some cheap guitars sound as good as or even better than a few grand Martin, but believe me, NO WAY. You will get what you pay. You can get just the best one among those within your price range). If you mainly strum chords, I am afraid that you may find some other guitar would better serve you, but for fingerpicking (what I am usually do) this quitar produced the best sound among others in its price range. Even better the action was the best. I am doubting the store took care of its set-up.

However, there was a catch. The body finish (Natural) has been done flawlessly, but I found some flaws on the neck (the neck finish is satin-body, probably polyurethane). I think during the finish process a few air bubbles trapped, and the surface feels slightly rugged. The QC should have found them. Not a big deal, but definitely Ibanez could have done better. Except this problem, this is a great guitar for the price.
