Left-facing Right-facing On Background

The Decimator guitar pedal offers a new approach to noise reduction processing. Most noise suppression systems suffer from one major problem inherent in their design: The system cannot be immediately responsive to very short-term staccato notes. The typical downward expander sound reduction system suffers from a dead zone in the release response characteristic that causes a compromise in tracking both fast decaying notes and long sustained notes. The Decimator pedal's design offers a novel approach to tracking the envelope of the input signal called Time Vector Processing.

Due to this novel approach in controlling the expander, the Decimator system will instantly respond to short staccato notes and, at the same time, will provide a very slow ripple free control of long sustained notes. The Decimator noise suppression system is very transparent delivering high performance.

The Decimator pedal by ISP Technologies is extremely easy to use; simply insert the Decimator at the end of your chain of existing pedals or, insert the Decimator Pedal in the effects loop of your amplifier to clean up the noise present at the amplifier input as well as the noise in the amplifiers pre-amp section. Packaged in a rugged, beautifully polished smooth chrome chassis, the Decimator pedal offers reliability, performance and beauty in one compact pedal.

when your not playing it takes away a single coil buzz, but when you strum or start soloing, listen good and you can hear all the noise in the background. cuts sustain short so when you run multiple effects on and off, its hard to dial in the right setting. i suggest you try it in a store with a few pedals in the chain before you buy. i dont think its worth it

When I first tried it out, it worked great, although I noticed quickly it cuts your sustain short. The next day I go to use it and its making my tone sound like absolute garbage with a capital G. I have no idea whats going on with this thing...

Just got this pedal today and it is amazing! I use a Geddy Lee jazz bass through a Genz Benz 600 head and Ampeg SVT810. I use a bit of treble in my tone and occasionally use a boss overdrive pedal. I can turn my amp up 3/4 of the way (that's as far as I have tested it) and stand like 6 inches away from the speakers with my hands off the bass and there is no feedback. My only complaint is that it cuts short the sustain, but the notes I hold out are still pretty long. I would deffinately recommend it.

This pedal works! I have a Marshall DSL 50 watt head and I was tired of the noise and feedback from my high gain settings. I was using a noise gate through my effects loop with marginal results. This pedal cuts out 95% of all of that and it doesn't effect my tone in any negative way. I first tried it through my effects loop but found that it works best in front of my amp right after my tuner pedal. I also use a Digitech Hardwire Metal pedal and the ISP takes away all of the feedback and noise that it produces. The most impressive thing is that it makes my Strat noiseless. No more Strat 60 cycle hum or feedback.

I recently bought a boss ns-2, because I could not find an isp.. After playing with the boss, I found that it changes my tone and still leaves a lot of fuzz in the backround. I took the boss back and found an isp. When I took home the isp, I could not believe how good it worked. It gets rid of all the fuzz and leaves my tone exactly as it would without it. The isp hands down kicks the boss ns-2's ass.. it was one of the best desicions I made. The isp is the best noise reduction pedal out there. It doesnt change your tone, and gets rid of all the fuzz. Don't have any doubts about the pedal.. it is definately 100% worth the money.
