this amp sucks. ive had it for 3 years and it has been in the shop more than in my rack. do NOT buy this amp. theres been many times i have been playing then the sound goes out with the tubes still glowing. Or times where the lights wouldnt turn on and it sounded like my tubes we blown...they werent. There must be a serious problem with the circut board. Worst investment i have ever made. I recently switched to splawn amps and I am so much happier with it. If you want to quality amp that is dependable....DO NOT BUY THIS AMP especially if you are a touring musician. It might be alright if you play in your room or something, but if you tour and you are using it every night carting it around like a piece of gear STAY AWAY FROM THIS AMP!

I'd always used combo amps before I got this head, but the music I play has gotten louder over the years. This amp is amazingly versatile and can get any sound you want it to. It sounds great too.

I recently had a problem where when I turn the power on, the tubes warm up but nothing else happens. I've treated it really well, so I'm not sure if it's just not built very well or what. One thing to watch for sure.

This head is amazing! I mostly play metal but this head can pretty much get any tone you want! from a nice clean and classic rock crunch to a heavy metal tone.

I love this amp because it has incredible gain and sounds heavy but clear at the same time. This head is worth every penny!

Really this amp is probably the most versatile head I've come across. For the people that are strayed because of a hint of SS, know that it IS TUBE. When you break it down, think about it, all the benefits of a crazy expensive tube amp with a s***ton more amps built in. yeah it doesn't have individual strips of knobs and controls per amp (clean, crunch, lead, ultra), but thanks to that little bit of digital technology, you can save an insane number of those settings real easily and access them just as easily with the foot switch (which yes is a piece because the midi cable wasn't protected from winding/wrapping very well, but hughes and kettner sent me a new one with upgraded cable, haven't had a problem since. (took the old one and added a midi jack and just used a regular good quality midi cable for a backup) i play it through a lopoline custom 2x12 signature cab with a v30 and a g12h with a fender tele (with hot rails), a fernandes ravelle elite, an ltd ec-1000, and an epiphone black beauty i built with a seymour duncan sh-5 in the bridge, tv-jones tv-ht in the middle, and a seymour duncan seth lover in the neck (bridge and neck are tapped with the seymour duncan triple shots) with custom 6 way rotary selector wiring. sounds real nice for any type of style. just remember that you NEED to put time in it to find your sound, but i promise its there.

What a great sounding amp! Really....but the pedal is crap. The cord of the pedal board is wired in. Mine started phantom switching at gigs. I had a friend take out some slack and rewire it but I soon had the same problem. I bought a Midi Moose switcher and haven't had a problem since. Great amp.....crappy pedal
