So I bought this thing used based on everyone sayign it was amazing. I got it used mind you, and that is a VERY difficult thing to accomplish. THey are very rare, or at least where I live. I played it for about 3 secconds strumming 2 chords on clean and just bought it. At first I was thinking it was ALRIGHT but might as well buy it. I had to leave whithin 5 minutes to make it to my gig so I left with the thing and figured out the tones AT THE GIG. A few chords and a few scales in I threw up all over the floor and cried with happyness. It was perfect. THe cleans sound VERY Fenederey and the gain is amazing. I bet you are thinking, wow this is a really crappy review, but I am tellign you, I just turned off the amp for the seccond time since i bought it 2 days ago and I am shaking with excitment still. NOW, Some dingbat plugged in the reverb backwards like a dip and the reverb was realy faint. I fixed it and it really made it sound 5x better than anything. I am going to change the tubes soon to KT77s, but the el34s in it right now are really magical. Moral, dont buy it used if you like to buy expensive amps.

Turbo Marshall

The good: The overdrive has clarity and definition even at full throttle. Outdoes Marshall at its own game. Lots of nice features such as 2 master volumes and an FX mix knob. Looks great too. Nice clean channel with tons of headroom. Pretty good reverb. Quiet Channel switching.

The Bad: The overdrive lacks low end punch. Could be fixed with an EQ probably. The boost knob doesn't make a lot of difference. The clean channel is a little cold.

Overall a very good amp that costs A LOT of dough.

Awesome Tone

I've played this amp as my primary amp for almost 5 years now. The tone is incredible -- crystal clear cleans even at high volume and a good range of beautiful overdrive tone. As with most tube amps, the Duotone shines when cranked and has a lot of punch when you need it. I want the ultimate 1x12 all-tube tone machine for my sound in my band, and the Duotone is the best I've found. I've tried a lot of others -- too many to list here.

A couple minor complaints on the Duotone: one, the boost feature doesn't do much. But, the ability to set master 2 louder for a boost during leads is cool. Two, the foot switch is not durable (be nice to it or it will break). Everything else works great. A nice plus is that you can modulate the intensity of your looped effects via a knob on the front.

Well designed german tone box

I play blues and classic rock. And this amp is surely sent from heaven. Out of the box you get tones like Stevie Ray Vaughn,Pink Flyod all the way to raging Guns n' Roses, this has to be the best amp i have ever played in my 16 years of experience. Oh and for you guys or girl players that like it loud don't worry this thing jams, plus the farther you crank this baby up the better the tone gets. this truly is the amp for the serious musician.

Blend of Amplified Yin and Yang.....YEAH!!

This is is the hot ticket in a combo amp!

The clean channel is crisp and sparkly-clear. A Strat will sparkle and give your a nice punch through the clean channel. Or, your Les Paul will sound sweet and vibrant on the clean side.

If you wanna rock, you will be in heaven on the overdrive side. It has a modern gnarly sound that is really the hot ticket. This is a great tone machine!

I LOVE THIS AMP. And, so does everyone else who uses it! I have let others plug in and they are immediate fans. It is also cool to hear how great their tone is through my amp!

The only issue is cost. I think that these are a bit pricey.
