Like all of the Hofner Verythin guitars, the Verythin Classic has a much smaller, thinner body profile than conventional semi-hollowbody guitars. In addition, it employs a hand-fitted solid spruce sustain block that does not use tone bars. These features reduce the potential for feedback, accentuate the tonal punch and attack, and preserve the guitar's acoustic qualities.

Hofner's Verythin Classic is at home in just about any musical milieu, from the introspective lament of jazz to the aggressive fire of rock. A German spruce top and flamed maple back and sides provide gorgeous tone and a create a regal backdrop for the Classic's elegant inlays and gold-plated appointments. Unique "Clear Contour" circuitry simulates the sound of both nearly-silent single-coil or humbucking pickups, thus enhancing the Classic's versatility.

This guitar is amazing. Everything about it is top notch. With the coil taped pickups it can easily play all styles. Also as you can see it is also a beautiful guitar to look at. My one wish is that it had a pick guard.

Very versitile. The appearance of my natural finish classic Hofner is stunning. The craftmanship of my guitar is excellent. The playability is top-notch. This is a very good tonal semi-hollow guitar with rich, full sound. Perfect for jazz, rock, pop and blues. There are no buzzes or rattles on my Hofner and the factory set action is almost exactly to my liking. The construction is great. The tuners are smooth and the guitar stays in tune very well. The only fault might be the neck thickness. My fret hand starts getting "tired" after a period of time. But, if you are looking for a unique, quality guitar at a decent price, I highly recommend the classic thin-body Hofner. This is my first Hofner and they are worth trying out.

My friends dad owns this guitar but he uses it the most. It is incredible. This guitar is lightweight and the pickups are very good. Worth the money.
