The Hofner CT Club is a semi-hollow electric guitar that provides warm, full tone and the brightness to make individual notes sing. The CT Club has a spruce top and eye-popping flamed maple back and sides. A strong, set maple neck is carved in a comfortable C shape, so you can play the CT Club guitar all night long. Two Hofner mini humbucker pickups kick out plenty of volume and sparkle, whether you're wowing a jazz crowd or getting a little funky with your wah-wah pedal.

Hofner has a real affinity with the archtop acoustic jazz guitar. From the early '50s, Hofner set standards for archtop design and manufacture with many famous guitar models such as the Senator, President and Golden Hofner, all of which are now collectors' items.

The Hofner tradition is carried forward today with their current range of jazz guitars and the Verythin family of guitar models.

Best of Both Worlds

Simple electronics, tried and true German-made electronics and pickups. Fit, finish and feel awesome right out of the box! Okay the bridge is pretty simple but this guitar is all about tone and does not disappoint. With this priced at 60% off I'm guessing when they're gone, that's it! Grab one if you can. What a great sounding and great playing guitar. Great unplugged and very cool plugged in. With two volume controls you can dial in a lot of sounds and use your amp for the rest. For lead or rhythm it's great. The diamond pickups Rock!!! Not sure if it is setup in China, but the action and playability right out the box is great. I own the club bass too and it is just as great sounding. Bravo Hofner! This is to Hofner what Skyline is to Lakland.

I have only had the guitar for a few days, so these are first impressions. The overall quality is pretty good. The finish is good, the wood is pretty uniform and tight grain (spruce top). I do have what appears to be a knot in the neck. That said, there are a few issues (to be expected at this price point). The tuners are not that good. My bridge pickup is poorly assembled in the sense the height screws are crooked. The bridge saddles are a little crooked too. Intonation is excellent despite this. The controls are bizarre (I know they are historically accurate) and seem to be all or nothing as far as tone goes (very muddy or very bright). It is for some reason possible to turn off both pups by the controls, which results in a buzzing (probably due to a ground break). The black edging on the pickguard looks like it was applied by a magic marker. Despite these points, which are to be expected at this price, it is a nice guitar. Sounds good and the pups are pretty hot. Overall the workmanship is not too bad; finish, fretboard, binding and general bodywork are good.

Owned an original Hofner thinline classic from the 60's. This CT Club has the same feel. Build quality, fit, and finish are superb. The pick-ups are astounding, no noise and no feed-back.I play it thru a Fender deluxe reverb. My only recomendation is to change the strings. I put fender 150R's (10-46) on mine. Intonation is spot-on. The CT is lighter than my Les-paul or my Fender but she can sing with either one of them. This guitar truly feels like I went home !

Amazing tone. Great sounding German pick-ups. perfect hollowbody...no feedback, tons of resonance. No flaws on mine. Very retro, stays in tune. Highly recommended if you want that 60's pop sound. Super light weight.
