If you're ready to add some really different sounds to your set, you'll want the Hiwatt Echo-Theremin. The Theremin was invented in 1920 by a Russian physicist named Lev Sergeiyvich Termin (his name was later changed to Leon Theremin). It's a unique instrument because the Theremin is played without being touched! As your hand approaches the antenna, the pitch gets higher. The Hiwatt engineers decided to add a new dimension of sound to the Theremin by adding delay to the unit. The Hiwatt Echo-Theremin has 300 milliseconds of delay that adds more depth and greater ability to create sci-fi sounds.

Order today and weird out the neighbors when you practice.

Well this has to be one of those pedals that you can consider a jem in your stash of effects. I must say next to my mooger fogger ring modulator pedal this is the 2nd coolest pedal EVER! The only reason I give it a 7 on features is because if your on stage you have to pull your wire going into your amp and plug it into the thermin by itself or have a spare amp ready to use this basically you can't use this in a set is what I'm trying to get at. Also the crowd sees you making the noises and your guitar isn't even involved EITHER WAY BUY THE THING ITS FUN FOR HOURS!

Theremin for surfers

I play in a surf band in Santa Barbara, CA. We wanted a theremin to add a little color to a few of our songs. This is perfect. You don't have to be an expert - you can just control the pitch with one of the knobs. And the delay is great! My only complaint is that the field that activates the theremin is set too low. You almost have to lay your hand on the chrome plastic ball to get it to work. But for the price and the sound - can't be beat.
