Based on the original "Bulldog" combo, the Custom 50 Combo combines the 50 watt amplifier head with a specially designed 12" Fane speaker; all built into an 18 marine ply cabinet.

Constructed exactly like the Dave Reeves original DR-103, making this guitar amp sound like no other. The sound of a Custom 50 at full tilt is truly amazing, the power and responsiveness is guaranteed to blow your socks off. The Hiwatt Custom 50 amp features a dual channel preamp with Low and High sensitivity input for each, 50 watts of all tube output, and individual controls for Brilliant / Normal inputs, Bass, Treble, Mid, Presence and Master Volume. Equipped with 2 x EL-34 tubes in the power stage, 4 x ECC-83 tubes in the preamp. Adjustable 4, 8 & 16 ohm output impedance.

Don't listen to the naysayers (I am glad I didn't) the new ones are just as good as the old ones in every way, ALL the classic 70's rock sounds are here, from The Who to Rush to Pink Floyd and on and on. Pricey but EXTREMELY well built, from the marine grade wood in the cabinet to the point to point wiring on turret boards. Definitely an amp to last a lifetime.
