I own two Hamer guitars. The Artist and the Studio Custom. I have played higher end Les Pauls and numerous Paul Reed Smiths and I have to say this guitar is one of the best guitars I have played to date. I have duncan 59's on it and they just scream through my old Peavy Heritage. This guitar is great for any music style that you want to play. It's bark is as bad as it's bite. You will not be disappointed.

Bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago. I couldnt be more pleased with it. The duncan 59 and jb duncans have so much versatility. Best flame top ive ever seen. And the neck feels like it was made just for you. Ive played alot of guitars including les pauls, strats, teles, schecters, and ibanezs and by far this guitar is the best. Buy this guitar. You wont regret it

I also was looking into buying a les paul. The guy at the guitar store put this in my hands and immediatly i felt a difference. The les paul is much heavier and sits uncomfortably on your leg when you play. This guitar also plays quite faster than the les paul. It is made to last and it sounds Great! No matter what you play... rock...blues...jazz..clasical.. set your amp up and buy this guitar!

I bought my guitar in '96. It's been with me for ten years and I'd never part with it. With some adjustment of action and intonation this guitar plays like a dream. It's quite a bit lighter than the Les Pauls, and better balanced also. It's a very comfortable guitar to play. Sounds best with medium guage strings.(.011s)

I own 6 elecric guitars (Fender, Gibson, Peavey), and this is by far the best of the bunch. I play mostly blues/rock, and the tone is unbelievable. For the money, it beats any Les Paul or PRS I've played, and the quality is outstanding. The only reason I give 9 stars for features rather than 10, is that it's pretty basic set-up...has all you need though. In a word - AWESOME!
