This is truley an amazing guitar , I bought this not knowing really anything but reveiws and history and WOW I am so glad I did , I never even heard the name before a few months ago and I dont understand why. Its hard to find a good quality guitar that has great tone and playability without financing methods [for me anyway]. I got a B stock that I cant find a flaw on. I can get any sound I want with the right effects and tweaks out of this beast , weighing in @ a nice 13 pounds it is a tone monster and sounds better than any guitar I have ever owned through my peavey classic 30. If your looking for a very well built axe that can do just about anything and dont want to spend thousands here she is.

I dint know about what one person is saying about stickers The one I got has pearl block inlays, and the sound,,,, I only thought Gibson guitars could only produce that sound ,but I was wrong.
Hagstrom is a very nice guitar no problem with it at all .I played music for closely 32 years and if I mite say this guitar is one of the nices guitars for the money,Now there is other places that have it cheeper, and musicians friend will match price ,They did me Good ,I matter in fact got a spare swede now I have 2 .

HAGSTROM AS GOOD AS GIBSON

I have played many different guitars and own around 30 and I must say that the swede is my favorite....it blows any epiphone and a lot of Gibson LP's out of the water. First of all it has a rich creamy sound with the high end never overpowering the lowend. With the dual controls you can make several different sounds instead of only having the normal 3 settings for regular lp's Another great thing about this guitar is the playability, the neck is not a standard lp style neck but is very fast and easy to play (however this is preference). The last thing I normally worry about in a guitar gets a 10 from hagstrom, the finish is amazing. I will deffinately be purchasing a super swede next so that I will have two hags to choose from when playing. By this guitar before hagstrom realizes they should be charging gibson prices.

First picking up the guitar it felt great, body was kind of heavy but not too heavy to cause back strain and the neck was a dream. When I plugged it into my amp, to my surprise, it sounded horrible. I thought, hey change the pick ups no big deal. WRONG, there is a piece of thick plastic that they have placed under the bridge blocking vibrations of the strings to the guitar? WHY? Music is based around vibrations, this thick piece of plastic completely kills your tone, even changing the pick ups on the guitar would not fix that! Now lets explain from the headstock down. Machine heads, PLASTIC, not what I expected. Neck inlays, stickers? Are you kidding me? They are the type of stickers where you heat the sticker and it attaches itself, like an iron on and they were slanted, really bad. Body, the front looking at it was amazing, the color is great and oh man just beautiful, then looking at the back, the cut outs for the wiring looked as though a five year old had cut them by hand! Clearly the body was painted BEFORE the cuts were made? What sense does that make! Again the plastic piece under the bridge and the pick ups sounded terrible, and last but not least WOOD and PAINT CHIPS! They didn't even clean out the guitar! Wood and paint chips were falling out of the input jack constantly. Bottom line, do not be fooled by the elegance of the guitar, you can easily find something better for the same price. If this guitar was around $200-$300 I would have probably kept it, but it really is not worth the high price tag. Remember, made in CHINA not SWEDEN!

This guitar is simply amazing. From the minute I started playing I was blown away. I dont know how they do it for so cheap. Great sound for any style of music, and it is BEAUTIFUL. Plays great right out of the box, great action and IT STAYS IN TUNE! You will not have buyers remorse, trust me.
