Pretty much perfect

I have to say that this guitar blew my expectations away when I played it. I knew Guilds were known for their jumbos, but this was perfection at first listening, sight, and touch! I love the sound that it has with just such deep and rich expressiveness to the sound. The overtones that it produces are excellent and will not disappoint. The maple sides and back are beautiful and give the guitar that little extra flare to the look and the sound. The only thing that made this guitar better was when I installed the L.R.Baggs M1 Active. It will hold its own against any other guitar out there.

This is a nice Jumbo. Fit and finish excellent. Really bright with the maple. Action is excellent on the cowboy chords a little dicey after 7. Good picker, strummer so so fingerstyle. Is it worth it. Hard to find in the shops, but I feel the quality to be consistant so I had no problem buying on the net. Gigged with it last week for the first time. A little tuning difficulties for the first two sets and then she settled down. Decent case. This guitar needs to breath. Keep it out and temp change seems to make a lot of difference with the maple.

Big, Fat Sound at a Modest Price

I have been playing and recording music for over twenty years and I have to say, the Guild GAD-JF30 is one of the finest guitars I've ever owned. The AAAA flammed maple back and sides are beautiful, as is the dark wood binding (one of my favorite features). As for sound, I've used this guitar in bluegrass sessions and had no problem competing with a roomful of Matins and Taylors. Furthermore, the sound of this guitar is far richer and more expressive than most I've played, with rich, deep lows, and balanced highs. And, this guitar sounds great through a Dean Markley pro-mag pickup. Buy this guitar, you won't be let down.
